Good numbers for anyone else but bad for Mayweather. If the whole IV scandal was leaked to build up the fight as some have suggested it was a mistake, he's ruined his legacy for nothing.

Who really care about PPV #'s shouldn't it be about the fight's? Also if you don't think media influences fight's for casuals your crazy.
Honestly Berto is P4P better than Lemieux but if you look at how they hype fighters you'd think one guy was fighting an ATG.

More and more people are seeing Floyd for the con-artist that he is.

Don't see why anyone is surprised by this. He was fighting Berto on top of that they all cashed out May2nd anyways. Showtime cashed out and Mayweather cashed out.

    I don't remember 300-400k. I remember Rios being about 475k and I remember Algieri being about 450k

My assessment, Pac and FMJ are about even with die hard fans that will watch anything with their boy in it.

That's around 40 mill gross. When the PPV distributors take their 50%, it cuts it to 20 mill.

So it turns out that 2 out of the 6 fights on the Showtime deal were successful. I wonder what the overall numbers look like now that it is all said and done? Did Showtime make enough from the Canelo and Paquiao fights to offset the other 4? Possibly, but I don't know if we will ever find out for sure.

If true, it did much better than I thought it would.

When is someone gonna mention that Ronda Rousey did almost two times this reported estimate vs a no talent-no name-neophyte opponent in her last fight?

At a time of day that was designed to allow the American market to watch it.

Sounds about right I thought it would do around that much it should have been free. With that said I was at Twin Peaks for the fight and it was packed.

For mayweather's standards its horrible. He used to going over a mil or at least close to it and it was his last fight according to him

This is largely what everyone thought it would be, no one expected a million, 900K, 800k buys or anywhere near. And Golovkin fans, he is not going to approach this number so stop. He'll do appx 200k to 300k which will be a very successful PPV. People have been jaded the last few years, 200K used to be a fairly successful PPV. Sheesh
