Andre Ward is very deserving of #2, I've stated this for a while now.

And now Ring agrees. :deal He has one of the best resumes in the game and has had great accomplishments. Even with his layoff, he's still regarded by the most prestigious magazine in the game as a top 2 fighter in the sport!!! Roman is deserving of #1, but Ward is top 2, for sure. Maybe even #1. :hey Even with the E-Rod/Paul Smith wins, he's still head and shoulders above most others. Those 2 were good wins. E-Rod is very underrated and Smith's very good.

Ward just has some odd fanatical supporters, even in media

And no before you go there I dont care if GGG is rater higher

Wlad and Kovalev should be though

GGG? ffs, what has he done? His best win = Martin Murray. He is #10 on any credible list. Ward is #2, Sergey should be 3-4, Wlad should be 3-4. I'll give you that.

What has Ward done? I'm fine with people putting Ward ahead of GGG if they want

But Wlad has kept his division clean for a decade, and Kovalev was busy Krushing while Ward was doing zilch. Both looked better in fights vs legit guys than Ward managed to look vs E-rod if we wanna use eye test.

Put GGG at 10 if you want, but no way is Ward higher than Wlad or Krusher

I appreciate what Ward has done, but that was ages ago, since then he's sat on the shelf and rusted up, he needs to get a move on and stop wasting his prime

Andre S.O.G Ward still has not lost his luster in the sport of boxing. He is very deserving of #2, that's how dominant he is.

He was #2 b4 he left, and would still be #1 if he kept his **** going. He deserves to reclaim this throne. If Mayweather came back next year, he'd be #1 again instantly. That's how much luster these two great men have.

Good point, how's RJJ not above Ward? His resume and accomplishments are far bigger and he's still active.

Well his only peer in Boxing is Roman Gonzalez, so number 2 is quite a good pick for him. The Ring got 1 and 2 right anyway. Needs more Inoue and Estrada though. Take out Golovkin and Brook.

Floyd has only been "retired" a few days. His body of work over the last 3 years is sufficient for p4p ranking, Wards is not. You have to go all the way back to 2011 for the last time Ward beat a top10 guy in his own division.
