They are as of right now deflecting attention from Mayweather by giving Nick diaz a five year ban, the harshest punishment ever against a fighter. You know, throw something to the media to chew on.

USADA used to do **** like that. Banning ppl for things a TUE should have taken care of for real medical conditions (different cases but same illogical heavy hand). NSAC is now just as corrupt as USADA. Well, we really already knew that unfortunately. Issuing a 5 yr ban for pot is ret arded while looking the other way while a fighter gets a huge saline IV dose in the comfort of his home. What the **** is wrong with this picture?

If anyone is a grade A idiot its YOU!!!!!
The NSAC & USADA are in the conspiracy & corruption up to their a$$es. They have been from day one They give Mayweather a TUE when he applies for treatment he'd already received weeks aqo?? Treatment that is ILLEGAL!!!!! How is that possiblw without corruption?? Yet Pacquaio was not allowed LEGAL painkillers because he hadn't ticked a box??
As for pre fight testing Floyd sr was asked " Is Floyd being tested same as Pacquaio"? Floyd sr answer " I don't know" !!
The Fed's need to jump in & clean out that corrupt rats nest in Vegas Indict them all. They are destroying boxing

    Exactly.
Since many of us are well aware that the USADA guidelines clearly state that TUEs for IV should only be issued under rare or emergency circumstances (and when no unprohibited alternative could possibly suffice, etc. etc.) they will have to cook something better up than their latest rebuttal.

So far all they said was "our guy agreed Floyd needed one"
    (or words to that effect).

    yes good synopsis

it appears as per floyd's request, TUE was put in the contract well in advance which indicates his camp had the intention to apply for a retro exemption.

as per usada response, retroactive TUE are legal but i would imagine that the spirit of the rulebook is intended for those who have a genuine medical purpose.

in the absence of a doctor this still is an uknown, just bc pac agreed to it in the contract doesn't mean that the usage of IV was appliied correctly in the spirit of the ruleboook.

usada refrained to comment of floyds A samples that rumoured to test positive, probably due to confidentiality purposes, but authorities will need to raise an investigation in order for docs to be furnished. however, we dont know if this is a smoke screen bc USADA now is saying they were aware mayweather was using an IV from the start....to sugggest that the testin protocol was compromised from inception in which mayweather used techniques to guarantee a positive result

there still exists the issue that nsac said that usada is not allowed to issue TUE but then goes to radio silence under the "belief" mayweather did nothing wrong.

now they are saying they did CIR and that funds paid was only a retainer which refunded after the fact...about the 36000 but didnt address the 130k fee

the outright denial of morales testing means we need to wait for thomas hauser to reply

usada claims they furnished to pac 2600 pages of subpeonaed evidence which somehow clears mayweather but we will never know as pac was paid a handsome sum under a confidentiality agreement

    it is one big clusterfark

reading the rulebook again...it states TUEs need pre approval under medical emergency

can anyone find it in the rulebook where a retroactive exemption is allowed as per USADA?

    ok just read it...

retroactive TUEs are only allowed in extreme medical circumstances when there are no other options

Floyd said that his urine was extremely dark after the weigh in. And that's one of his reasons for the IV. If your urine was darker than you ever seen wouldn't it be smart to go to the hospital. Especially the day before a fight?

    Good response from Thomas Hauser.

The most important aspect for me regarding the IV is WHY was it deemed medically necessary ?
That hasn't been answered satisfactorily at all.

So far it seems as if it's just a case of Mayweather wanting a prohibited IV and the USADA going along with it.
But the guidelines are clear in that IV would only be allowed in a medical emergency where there's no other alternative.
As we've already noted, you'd have to imagine that if there was that sort of emergency just before the fight, he would be in no state to fight.

    :huh

And, yes, the Testosterone-Epitestosterone ratio readings are suspect. But more data should be published.

Alternatively, you could could ask Juan Manuel Marquez to take the Pepsi Challenge with it.

If he chooses the Pepsi then get to the hospital - stat!
