“There’s talks with Manny Pacquiao, who I respect a lot,” Khan told USA TODAY Sports, “because even though he got beat by Mayweather, you call him a real man because obviously he’s proven himself by beating those top guys. And Mayweather is still running.

“And even though Mayweather beat him, Mayweather fought him like six years after when that fight would have been 50-50 six years ago. Mayweather didn’t want nothing to do with hm. Mayweather’s a smart guy, he waited and waited for him to get old.”

An obvious impediment to any Pacquiao-Khan talks lies with their respective backing. Pacquiao is promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc., which doesn’t do business with Al Haymon (Mayweather vs. Pacquiao one giant exception). The 27-year-old is guided by Haymon, the ubiquitous manager who is regarded as the most powerful man in boxing.

Khan, though, insists the strained relationship between Arum and Haymon won’t be a roadblock to making the fight a reality.
“At the end of the day, Al thinks of the fighters, and he wants the best for me,” said Khan, who recently purchased equity in India-based MMA promotion Super Fight League, “and he wants the best for the fighters, so yeah, I think it can happen. (Haymon) didn’t tell me (the fight is definitely doable), but obviously he said ‘whatever you think is right for you, you make the choices.’
“My team will decide on how that fight’s going to be made. We just take it from there really, but right now there’s just talks happening and nothing really finalized yet.”

Floyd always waits people get old, meantime in wonderland Floyd himself never ages.

Floyd is still that 28yrs prime version of himself.

Floyd last "great" perfomance was against Cotto.what 4yrs ago?

The Showtime contract(6fights) Floyd has been totally shot.as every sensible
    boxing fan would see.the perfomances
    Floyd put were all "****"

I think what Khan meant was Pac style ages quick and his a very aggressive attacking fighter where as Floyd is a safety first defensive wizard these types of fighters stay around much longer.

The longer the fight got made the better it was for Floyd

lol Khan is now stalking Pac in place of Mayweather. You have to admire his perserverance.

I really don't want Khan to get Pac.

I'm sick of Pacquiao fighting slick boxers. He never looks good against them. With a few fights left, he needs to fight someone who will slug it out with him. Like a Matthysse or Provodnikov. Pac wins against boxers - minus Floyd - but it won't be an exciting fight. It's against come forward fighters were you see the best of him brought out and that's how I want to see him finish his career.

Not slick but a boxer, but he is a boxer-style who'll use a ton of movement and will clinch. He's the type of fighter that makes you want to turn your TV off.

Pacquiao looks better against come-forward fighters. Bradley, Algieri, Mayweather. Ugh, he doesn't need to add Khan to that list.

PBF beats any version of #48 but you already know that. A prime #48 was still getting outbxed by a shot EM and going life and death with JMM remember that.:deal

You can't prove that. Maybe if they would've fought 6 years ago then we would've known.
