    I like this post

Generally as CST 80 said GGG was always in command in this one. I think he doesn't let guys tag him but allows opponents to throw

Many fights with a hard hitting guy who brings pressure devolve into a guy clamming and surviving

He wanted Monroe to move his hands so they weren't near his head. Look at how he dropped him, or look at how he ended Geale. Getting hit his head turned but connecting a bomb

When GGG let's the throw he allows then to create openings for him plus he gets to study their combinations and hand speed to time counters

I hope this is some sort of sarcasm. Golovkin was gassing and he was surprised that Monroe was able to keep coming.

Golovkin's corner was concerned saying stuff like "are you okay" "what's wrong"

    Nonsense.

Golovkin was never hit with a punch he didn't willfully choose to receive.

Monroe is just a good fighter and troubled him a little bit. Golovkin was still very impressive in how he dispatched him.

Nobody get hit on purpose except GG huh Rums lol... Oh, and Nate Campbell.

GG wouldn't do that against anyone who could punch.

he did put up more of a fight than Murray did, and I don't know why some of these morons are calling him a bum, I think Monroe gives Quillin fits, he's not a bad fighter, just unknown prior to facing Golovkin

If GGG allows free shots to the head by a real heavy puncher....well, let's just say that's what we're all waiting to see what happens, correct?

Golovkin is wary when confronting guys with big artillery. He fought a lot more cautiously against Stevens, for example. It's the featherfists that he takes liberties with.

Watch the fight again, he allowed Monroe to tee off at times and survive passed 2 rounds.

I agree with what Roy Jones said in a later interview. GGG didn't "let" Willie hit him, but due to the lack of power Golovkin didn't make it a point to not get hit either.

I would say Willie put on a pretty damn good show, and it was not a particularly impressive performance my GGG. That being said. G still dispatched Monroe relatively easily and it is not cause for concern at all.

GGG told rosado to hit him.. GGG egged on Monroe to hit him...Ray Mancini interviewed GGG and said he wants to put on a show..if GGG says it then it's real talk..GGG just playin...do u actually relize in during the fight he tells the opponents to hit him..don't be fooled by his smile the guy is a walking nightmare..

Na GGG was just toying with Monroe, who isn't really a bad fighter himself. I think Monroe makes some interesting fights with other middleweights. Monroe had the quicker hands of course his shots were going to land first, esp if GGG allowed it. Monroe had his moments, but it was obvious Ggg was allowing him too, because when Ggg decided to end the fight, it was show over for Monroe.

What's so impressive about taking punches from a guy with all of 6 KOs on his record?
