    Good win for Sanchez but I remember thinking that he took a lot of unnecessary leather in that fight.

    Great call. Gorgeous display of boxing from Hopkins.

    I see lots of Toney-Barkley mentions, but what about Jones Jr.-Toney? Jones dominated a much better fighter in Toney than Toney did with Barkley. I would add Willie Pep's one-sided schooling of Ray Famechon.

    I think Toney's health and condition from the weight starving made him a sitting duck for the athletic Jones. Technically, Toney was sublime against Iran.

    Myth. Toney had been struggling to make weight for years at that point thew RJJ fight was no different.

    There were talks of James on a drip in hospital to keep him alive the night before, all sorts of dialysis. His body looked strangely soft and his sharpness non-existent.

    The difference of course being Buster got up, and continued with the beat down until the KO win. Something the so called " baddest man on the planet " was NEVER able to accomplish.

    Iran went down in weight against Toney, so he was likely a bit drained too.

    Toney at least was at the the same weight he had been at for a number of fights against Jones. I don't buy into this "drained" excuse too much. Toney didn't look really faster or sharper in his next fight, against Griffin at LHW.

    I just think Jones speed was too much for Toney. Plain and simple. Had the fight been at LHW, I don't think it would have been any different.

    Hagler- Hearns. you just dont see fights at this level with that kind of intensity and you never will again

    As for Duran-Moore, I heard about it over the radio the next morning and I was kind of surprised, Duran winning by tko no less

    Here is my top 5 performances that I've ever seen ranked.

    1. Ali-Foreman: Many think Foreman just got outsmarted and punched himself out like a bum. No he didn't Ali show defensive mastery in that fight. And came back and returned fire with hard punches to finish off Foreman.

    2. Hagler-Hearns: Never seen anybody take head on a savage puncher like that in their prime and then obliterate them toe to toe. Sublime. Just an incredible showing of bravery, chin and skill.

    3. Foreman-Frazier I: What more could Foreman have possibly done against one of the greatest Heavyweights ever?

    4. Pacquiao-Barrera I: Speed, power and stamina personified. The most intense non stop physical beatdown on a great fighter in their prime that I've ever seen. Who could possibly sustain that workrate with that speed and power against a great fighter for that long besides Pacquiao?

    5. Jones Jr-Toney: Roy Jones practically dismantled the most technically gifted fighter since the 90s in his prime. And did it easy. What a display of athleticism.

    I agree that Duran landing the harder and more telling blows. But this wasn't a blowout, non competitive fight.

    One of the greatest performances of all time though considering a smaller man challenging easily the greatest modern Welter of all time and beating him.

    But on the cards it wasn't a blowout.

    It doesn't need to be a blowout to be a fighters best performance, this fight was vintage Duran imposing himself on an ATG.
