Avni Yildirim 08-05-91 is a 5'11 Light Heavyweight with a 16-0 10 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Sivas, Sivas Province, Turkey. Not much was known about Avni before this year other than he represented Turkey in the Olympics in 2012, and the rumors of Avni giving fits to Arthur Abraham in sparring for his last Stieglitz fight. Well they were backed up by an impressive performance against Glencoffe Johnson in August in which this young man basically shut out the old Road Warrior with ease, while it may not seem too impressive to some due to Glen's advanced age, however Glen was coming off of a very good performance against top prospect Erik Skoglund who most thought he won, so he still isn't a walk in the park. He's a very sharp methodical fighter who works behind his jab and slowly walks his opponents down beating them into submission with his one twos and combinations, he seems to have good stamina but he gets hit a little too often so he needs to tighten up his defense a little, but overall he appears to be a very solid prospect and with a top trainer Avni has the potential to become a top player in the scary ass Light Heavyweight Division. So Check Out Avni The Anatolian in Action.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

    1. The Aegean wind is hot, not cold.

    2. Avni Yildirim is not a Hittite.

Btw Sivas is not a province of Aegean, it's in Eastern Anatolia where one of the biggest dogs of the world "kangal" comes from :yep

I wanted to make a topic bout him, but it's already here.
Great talented boxer. Only 24 yearss old and 8 fights, but some good victories. (Glen Johnson & Bernard Donfack)

It was a really good fight last night, but Avni is clearly not ready to go 12 with fringe contenders yet. He needs a couple of fights vs journeymen next.
