What's everyone's thoughts on this fight not happening?

Seems to be a recurring theme with Eddie Hearns fighters. Throw about big names and settle for a 95/5 after the publicity of a potential big one.

Did the same with Brook...settled on Chaves in a loaded division. Not saying its a bad fight but its not really the momentum I wanted after the Porter win...

Slightly irritates me as he will spoon feed opposition to Quigg and Brook and wait around for Khan/Frampton...while at the same time telling us they are the best fighters in their division. (By the way not blaming Hearn for Frampton/Khan not happening..fault lies at both ends in each case)

Never gonna happen was it? NONITO DONAIRE IN MANCHESTER?:lol:

I think Eddie, to an extent, has no bottle with fighting the big names at home. Ok, Froch had Bute, but Froch DESERVED a huge name at home as he was fighting worldwide.

Brook? Made to travel. Hasn't fought a top 10 guy since, and that division is STACKED.

Quigg? I don't know who he can face next. He won't touch Rigo. He won't get Frampton. He won't get Donaire. He won't move up.

He'll either have to travel abroad or fight nobodies.

Eddie is full of sh*t. It is ALWAYS "after this one it'll be a big one".

Quigg and Brook will have their careers flatten out if they don't either travel abroad on their own terms or DEMAND world class comp ALL the time over here, as Hearn is just waiting for both to be in big domestic clashes, but he forgets that the other guys involved don't like him and can see him for what he is.

Yeah the bait and switch tactics Hearn had been employing are very annoying.

Both Quigg and Brook have options beyond their domestic rivals but Fast Car won't even entertain the idea of them taking any sort of risk in the meantime.

Donaire hasn't made more than $1m a fight that often has he? Think he'd be a fairly easily achievable fight to get for quigg

Could be worse, he could announce fights and sell tickets for said fight, e.g. Wilder v Chisora that were never made in the first place.

Eddie hasn't. I was there and there were LOADS of empty seats.

Sell out = EVERY seat taken.

Besides, Eddie has the £££ to bring big names over but doesn't bother.

Of course there were empty seats, it wasn't 90k sold seats. It was far less for various reasons along with thousands being on the ground.
