Dont agree with this. He regained control of the fight immediately in the next round. Not exactly the sign of a guy wanting to quit on the verge of a historic win.

I invite you to watch the tucker-douglas fight. Douglas was a very talented but under achieving fighter. He had a rocket like jab, had a big pop in his jab and punches. He was out landing Tucker with the jab and beating him with hand speed as well.

Tucker whethered the storm and waited for douglas to gas himself out which is what happened by round 8.

Also factor in the fact that lewis has been starched not once but twice to single shots to the face by D rated journey men one of whom douglas beat in an actual fight and another fighter most would agree that douglas at his best was a better fighter than rahman.

Lewis has his hands full against a Tokyo douglas.

I just think Buster was genuinely hurt and it took a bit of time to compose himself, it was a decent uppercut he got caught with. He was lucky the round came to an end, although its questionable whether Tyson had anything left to finish him, he clearly didn't the following round. I couldn't say 100% but by the way Buster continued the fight its difficult to believe he had quit in him that night, maybe a split second after tasting that uppercut who knows.

Is this why Lewis was re matching Rahman in Las Vegas immediately before the Tyson fight for the WBC and IBF titles, whilst Tyson was fighting some nonentity called Brian Nielsen for a one armed bandit machine token worth 4 dollars in Denmark?

Why do Tyson freaks CONSTANTLY try to shove their revisionist lies down peoples throats as though they are in any way representative of reality?

Lewis NEVER needed Tyson at ANY time in his career. Tyson BEGGED him for a rematch IN the ring immediately after he was KTFO because Lewis was the money. Lewis is, was, and always will be worth more money than Tyson. This is because he understood the meaning of being a PRIZEFIGHTER.

Tyson merely understood the meaning of being an ignorant, egotistical moron, who was bred to be exploited by people far more intelligent than him.

Hmm, I think at that stage it will documented that Tyson was desperately fighting for money knowing full well he was finished because he was bankrupt. He needed the Lewis fight for money pure and simple, he was already an all time great, lewis on the other hand needed the Tyson name on his resume for legacy purposes and even now sensible and smart people know that fight is of no significance and Lewis knows it deep down even today which is why he has to constantly talk about it in all his interviews just to stay relevant while Mike in silence enjoys the fact that not only when its over its over but also the fact that he is remembered as a boxer for eternity which Lewis deep down envies.

For your info Tyson earned more in career earnings than lewis albeit its a different matter that he mismanaged his finances. Heck holyfield earned more in his career compared to lewis as well.

Sometimes you're the bug and sometimes you're the windshield.

It was Tyson's time to be the bug.

He still had a puncher's chance and I've seen much worse beatings allowed to go as long or longer ... a lot of rounds Lewis was mostly jabbing him. It was one-sided but he wasn't unable to defend himself or unable to absorb the punches, he just was getting outpunched and there was a cumulative effect, including mentally with him at some point along the way giving up on the idea of working to land the one punch that might change it.

It sure wouldn't have hurt Mike Tyson's cause at all if it was stopped earlier.

Tyson should have been pulled out a round or two earlier.

The fight should have been stopped earlier. Tyson was really taking a beating in that fight, Lewis was just teeing off on him with the right hand.

Tyson was clearly done by then and he had no business coming in the ring at such a high weight any hunger he had was all gone by the time he finally got in the ring with Lewis.

I think you need to learn the difference between generating money, and EARNING money. Tyson EARNED peanuts compared to Lewis, as did Holyfield, which is why they ended up with next to nothing.

Telling a moron he is fighting for 40 mill, knowing that it is only going to get 8 of it, because he is too stupid to know where the rest has gone, is completely different to telling a guy he is fighting for 30 mill, and he makes dam sure he is getting 25 of it.

Didn't the stupid freak even accuse Jim Jacobs of ripping him off?:lol:

Now you are just trolling and sprewing nonsense. It is well documented that Tyson's and Holyfield's career earnings were in the range of $300 million while Lewis managed $100 million by the time he retired.

It has been well documented before that you have no idea what you are talking about and are just hating for the sake of hating.
