Would be nice if this happens by the end of 2016.

It would be nice if Ward fights again. He should be stripped of his belt now

Inevitable, yes. I think it happens but 2016 would be awesome.
He just fought a few months ago.

If rumors of a 3 fight deal are true, I'm guessing that ideally, they're looking at something as a co-feature for Cotto-Canelo, another fight early 2016, and I imagine the 3 fight deal would culminate with a PPV showdown between Ward and Kovalev around a year from now.

    That would be fantastic!

For some reason, I'm not really as hyped about this fight as I should be, I'd rather have Beterbiev/Stevenson fights.

    Fvcking great match up!

I'd see KO winning by KO

    Make it happen!

I'd still prefer to see Ward-Golovkin first, but that seems increasingly unlikely, and if Ward can't land GGG, then his best move is to probably work his way towards a Kovalev fight. Ideally, I'd like to see both. But I'd rather see one than none.

I don't even mean the GGG fight, for me that one is even less interesting because I don't think it will be very competitive. The Kovalev fight, I think it's probably because there's no gauge of how good Ward is at 175 coupled with the lay-off, I hope he has at least one fight against another top guy at 175 (and by that I mean not contender level guys, real threats) perhaps that will spark more of an interest for me for the Kovalev fight.

I think, using the rumors as a suggestion, if Ward-Pascal can be made, that will give us a decent gauge. If Ward struggles badly or looks no better than Hopkins did against Pascal, that probably doesn't bode well for him. If he looks good against Pascal, that should help raise interest, I'd think.

That'd be a good fight, yeah I agree, Pascal is a top LHW that will provide a good test.

It's the direction that they seem to be heading for with this 3 fight deal with HBO only being offered at 175lbs. Hopefully it comes off but a lot of things will need to be agreed before it happens and we all know Ward has a habit of making the wrong decisions. Let's hope they can build this fight up properly so the interest in enough for the purses to be too good to pass up.

One fight I'd really be interested in is him vs Gonzalez, big, strong, heavy punching LHW.. Would be perfect "tune up" IMO.

No way is ward ever going to get into a ring with Kovalev.

    That move ends his career.

No way will his management or trainer allow ward to even mention his name.
