So why does Kathy Duva keep claiming that the talks with Roc Nation have been going so positively? :smoke
There's a difference between ''talks going positively'' and the contractual terms being agreed. Ward has been in talks with froch, ggg and the talks have always broken down. When the fight doesn't happen, which you can bet it won't, ward the son of sh!t will talk on his twitter and tell his fanboys that kovalev didn't want the fight. There is one consistent player in all these 'talks' that end up no where and that is Ward.
Let me guess, once he beats him, you will come up with every excuse in the book to devalue the win - **** like "he waited for Kovalev to turn old, Ward cheated." :nod:rofl
I don't know if she is or not but I don't really take what she says very seriously, she just doesn't seem competent to me... I want to hear both sides and the fact that one side is silent kinda strikes me as odd.
I can't wait to make the. "I See Kovalev Delivering A Great Right Hand That Will Knock Ward Into Next Tuesday" Thread:nod
Fair enough. If the rumors of a 3 fight deal between Ward and HBO are true, and if he's possibly going to kick said deal off with a Pascal bout as the co-feature of Cotto-Canelo, then that seems to indicate that things are heading in that direction. But I'm sure Ward is still holding hope, however slim, that he can land Golovkin before 2016 ends. That tells me the direction Ward is heading largely depends on how HBO is viewing the big picture. For instance, I'm sure HBO would be creaming their pants at the prospect of a Cotto-Canelo trilogy, or a rematch between one of those guys and Floyd. That would leave GGG with two potential big name fights - Ward, or maybe Andy Lee. If HBO thinks they have a lock on a round robin of PPV's involving Cotto-Canelo-Floyd, they may try and nudge Ward and Golovkin towards a showdown. But if Floyd is truly finished, and Cotto-Canelo is one-sided, they would probably prefer GGG vs the winner, and Ward vs Kovalev. Curious to see how this all plays out. 1. What will the GGG-Lemieux numbers look like? 2. Will Cotto-Canelo be competitive? 3. Does Andy Lee still wind up facing BJS? I think the answers to these questions will draw a clearer picture, but if Ward is to be included as a co-feature for Cotto-Canelo, and that bout happens at 175, I don't know. Then I'd imagine GGG is off the table for Ward.
