How does the equation work out if Haymon forces Kovalev to drop the IBF belt? I think Ward would prefer to go after the less experienced Beterbiev.

While I'm no expert regarding the petty rivalries that exist between diva promotional companies, which is a disgusting trend all around that plagues the sport, as I understand it - Haymon and RocNation are too immature and childish to work with one another because of some previous grudge. That seems to suggest that Stevenson and Beterbiev aren't in the cards for Ward, and vice versa.

Of course it is Ward will continue to cement his legacy. That should shut up all of his critics up. It better be at the full lhw limit though we don't wan't no ggg nonsense where it would have to be at 171

At the end of the day, I believe guys like Golovkin, Ward, and Kovalev are immensely talented. I just hope we see them all in challenging fights sooner rather than later.

I hate some of the God-awful precedents that have been set by the 6 years of nonsensical BS brought to us by P4P con artists, Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Not seizing the moment on making big fights when the make sense is but one example of the damage those 2 low lives levied upon the sport we love.

If Ward fights Kovalev, it better be at 175 or it's pointless at this juncture.

Kovalev would smash ward all over the ring. Ward should try beter or stevenson

It's awful! Too many weight classes, too many belts, too many egos, too many divas, too many jack off promoters, too much political maneuvering.

And it's getting worse, not better.

Yeah, if he fights Kovalev at anything less than 175 I'd rather he not face him at all, on principle.

The situation with Dawson, however, was different, given Dawson called him out on air, offering to drop down a weight class, on a televised post fight interview. But even then, that would have been a far more satisfying victory for Ward had he accepted the challenge and jumped to 175, anyway.

If it happens, most likely it'll be Ward's 3rd fight and on PPV.

If it is inevitable, so is Kovalev being taken to school by Professor Ward. Little G didn't want to go to school and is currently truant. Let's hope Kovalev doesn't skip school as well. :hey
