People are underestimating Fury, he can box and brawl and unlike Klitscko, when Fury goes down he gets back up and knocks the guy out.

Fury is younger, probably stronger, better on the inside, has longer reach and he can fight on the outside too.

Wladmirs got his hands full. I said it a couple of years ago, Fury would have beat Vitali.

 

I agree with some of the observations you've made, but honestly after seeing Fury's fights with Chisora and Cunningham I'm not too confident picking him to beat either Klitscko.. Fury might have taken the Ill-faded Vitali who fought Manuel charr in his last fight but I'd forget about a prime for prime match up. Wlad is getting to that vulnerable age where its hard to tell how much he really has left.. But his skill level and experience is leagues above Fury's. And after getting decked by the light hitting Steve Cunningham one has to wonder how durable Fury really is.

Wladmir does have experience, but a large part of his 'bag of tricks' is leaning on his opponent and clinching them to exhaustion and/or frustration I cant see that working on a guy whose bigger, hungrier, great on the inside and will fight dirty if need be (see Cunningham Ko).

I think Fury looked great against Chisora, at least in the second fight. He completely outboxed him, I don't think Chisora even landed a punch.

Tyson does leave himself open sometimes and hr can be careless, but hr wasn't hurt by Cunningham at all, in fact while on the canvas, Fury combed his hair before he got up.

Wlad will have to put on a special performance if he wants to win. The irony is that the younger headhunter version of Wlad probably stands a better chance.

A good punch from any 200+lb man can and will hurt under the right circumstances. If Ali can be dropped and hurt by a light heavyweight, and then absorb punches from Foreman and Liston, there's no reason to put much credence in Cunningham dropping Fury. I mean, who got knocked out at the end?

Another example is Holyfield taking everything from Lennox just fine, but getting knocked down by Bert Cooper. It happens.

Of course I'm not saying that his chin is good or anything, it very well could be glass, but basing it off, what, 2 knockdowns in fights that he went on to win anyway is pushing it a bit IMO. Let's just wait and see.

 

Not as shaky as the VERY delusional opinions on here,i heard some dumb stuff on this fight but this is reaching epic proportions,i haven't even seen ONe vid of fury in training I would say oh wow this guy is a threat Klitchko or Joshua for that matter..

Tommy Morrison was Lewis's best prime opponent at the time he fought him Magoo couldn't refute that,because looking at Lewis's record Morrison is the sole guy that stands out while in his prime...I do consider Morrison a high threat,hes much better than giving credit for.however,if one dissects Vitalis resume as poor the same can be said about Lewis's.

 

So why did lewis retire OFFICIALLY after Vitali waxed out Johnson in 2?:-( better yet why everyone continually ignores the facts that Manny pleaded with lewis to fight him,and Lewis HIMSELF stated he was going to fight 3 more time s after Vitali?:roll:
