The Wilder-Duhaupas ticket sale is complete failure. Wilder is fighting in his hometown and reports made clear only 6,000 tickets have been sold for the 12,300 arena. So the arena will be almost empty

Wilder is such a disgrace. Even his biggest fans aren't buying tickets for this farce :patsch:lol:

Well...half full or half empty is probably a better description. Almost empty would be like selling 1/3 or 1/4 of the tickets.

For a heavyweight world title fight, 1/2 is as good as empty. And this guy was talking about being the next PPV king. Seems like he can't get past the V.

Not surprising at all that they are struggling to sell tickets to this joke of a title fight.

I think your source is mistaken.

    Here's a map of the arena. http://www.ticketmaster.com/premier...ham-alabama-09-26-2015/event/20004F13B6A36B51

The grey areas (the majority) are sold out. If you click on the blue areas, where tickets are still available, it zooms in to show there aren't many seats remaining at all. Just handfuls here and there.

In some blue sections, there are like four seats remaining.

    It'll be a big house.

    Isn't Alabama playing tomorrow?
They also gave ticket discounts to Univ of Alabama students.

This French tomato can will be taking a dive inside the first 3 rounds too.

Good to see people will not let themselves be ripped off with this farce.

Disagree. Generally speaking a lot of the luster has worn off the HW division -- at least that's the perception in the USA (rightly or wrongly).

So 1/2 full is exactly what it sounds like -- especially since this isn't for the REAL HW title. Everyone that knows boxing even a little bit knows who the man of the division is.

My point is: If ticket sales aren't a 'OMG EVERY SEAT IS SOLD OUT!' grandslam, doesn't mean it's a complete and dismal failure. There are shades of grey in between black and white, ya know?

You can look at the ticket map and see it's well over that. There may be only a thousand seats left right now, if that.

I didn't count them, but there are only a few pockets of seats left, and some sections with "available" seating only have one seat remaining.

That could also mean that they only allotted a certain part of the theater for seats -- not that they sold all those grey areas.

for the smaller shows they usually rope off half the venue. At least the shows I've been to.

***** half the tickets sold is not almost empty :patsch:patsch:patsch

and thats a football state..maybe your dumb self dont know. he knew that already.

Albama plays at 1pm pt, football game is about 3 1/2 hours these days. wont have time to drive after game to make the fight. Auburn plays at 4pm pt so none of those fans will be going to the fight.

He knew this, and to get 6l sold and will probably reach 7k+ then THATS HELLA GOOD!!
