Can't believe no one has commented on this yet or that its not come up. What a fight this would be, Lopez hurt and likely down against Fenech's ability and will to keep coming while being tagged. I'm going with Danny here, he could be worn down but he also could put many away and I always thought Jeff's ability to take a head shot a little suspect.
I think that after a round or so of being pretty much abused, decked and outfought, Danny finds Jeff's chin with one good shot. It's then ovah...and another reason to never count out Danny Little Red Lopez...one of the most dangerous, exciting and unpredictable fighters ever.
Yes, Jeff was a saturation swarmer..it took him time to wear his opponent down - At Feather... Rushing onto Danny contantly was a real recipe for disaster... The Merrickville Mauler doesnt get much chance to maul Danny and fairly quick i feel
Do you not like Fenech or something? I've never seen you pick him in any fantasy matchup. He looses this one though, he get's KO'd around the mid rounds i'd say.
I don't have anything against him M-M...I promise. I just call em' as I see 'em, y'know? I just don't think that Jeff had those innate Sanchezian attributes to topple Little Red...and Jeff wasn't especially elusive either...meaning, he would look great for long, protracted periods vs Lopez, then suddenly, the Great Equalizer would come...a Lopez right hand bomb...right on the button. That's just my opinion. It would have been a great fight while it lasted.
