Romero and Jacare give him fits.

    I think he'd UD Mousasi.

    Son's Rockhold.

    Fun Fact

Anderson made his UFC debut against Chris "The Crippler" Leben

Anderson had his UFC career ruined after being crippled by The Chris

I think youre underestimating Rockhold, BB. He's a match for any middleweight. I see it as 50/50 against Weidman

If Weidman beats him and the other monsters, he's easily the GOAT in the UFC. The IV drip ban probably sees that impossible though

    Maybe colonic irrigation....

Vitor nearly kicked Luke's head off. Don't mention drugs, as it was Vitor's skills that enabled that to happen.

Weidman, IMO, is like a MW Edgar. Does everything decently well, but is boring and doesn't have that "one thing" that makes him stand-out.

Andy was toying with him on the feet until he got arrogant.

A TRT-less Vitor nearly had him out of there (there's a reason why Weidman wanted no part of TRT Vitor - he\d have got smoked).

Handled an old and predictable Machida.

I'm just not sold on Weidman yet.

Jacare, IMO, handles him with ease.

Prime Anderson didn't really fight any big guys like Weidman,he still does well but I don't see where he ever really changed with age,if anything he exceeed.Anderson has never beat anyone bigger than him with longer reach that I remember.

The division has improved alot since he was dethroned. Jacare, Romero and the improved Rockhold would have a good chance of beating any Silva.

He gets destroyed by most. Romero beats him. Rockhold takes him down and pounds him out. Weidman destroys him anyway he wants. Jacare submits him. Mousasi beats him, Lyoto Machida outstrikes him etc etc. Anderson Silva beating up Chael Sonnen and Maia does not signify he can take on the modern elite.

Some of y'all be underestimating Matrix Anderson (and super improved Rockhold)

    The guy was a freak

Yeah he dominated a very weak division but he was still an unbelievable freak

He's up against Bisping in April, which is the perfect comeback fight. If he's getting anywhere close to what he was prior to getting traumatised by The Chris, things suddenly get verrrrrrrry interesting

If he looks shot, then we'll never know. The current crop are indeed a murderer's row if ever there was one

He would always have problems with wrestlers like Weidman and Romero. Granted, Wiedman isn't the most exciting fighter in the world, but I think that he would have beat Anderson at an point in his career.

Guys always like to throw out those "almosts" when they didn't see the result they wanted. What did happen was Vitor got ragdolled down and bashed to bits.

Silva was NEVER in control of the fight at any moment. Weidman outstruck Silva on the feet in both fights. His ability to control distance nullified most of Silva's offence. Silva's antics were a desperate attempt to get Weidman's mind off the fight but it failed. He also tried messing with Weidman at the end of round 1. When that didn't work either he threw a fit in his corner.

Vitor's testosterone levels were 3x higher than Weidman's when they fought. I'd like you to try and clarify the bold.

Machida was looking great in his transition to MW and hadn't lost a fight legitimately in 3 yrs. Was coming off an impressive win over top contender Mousassi.

Lets put it this way, Rockhold and Machida crucify and annihilate Anderson Silva's best wins. Anderson Silva is just another overhyped, roided to the gills Brazilian.

    1) I was talking about Luke, Not Chris.

    2) Look at when Chris and Andy get back on their feet. Andy TOYS with him.

    3) They were? Funny how Weidman was always "injured" wasn't it?

    4) Mousasi that is EASILY the most inconsistent MMA'er of the last 10 years? The same Mousasi that got his head launched into orbit last night by the second-most inconsistent fighter in Hall?

    Yeah, sure buddy!

    My bad I misread.

If your definition of "toyed" is getting beaten up and stopped then I'm with you.

It was even more than 3x. Weidman's testosterone scores were around 300 which is on the lower side of average while Vitor's were over 1200.

Training injuries, don't pretend like this doesn't happen all the time in this sport. Vitor also pulled out of the fight at one point. To use that as proof that he was scared of Belfort is ridiculous.

This is just some revisionist history. Mousasi has hit a small rough patch recently but at the time he was a top 3 ranked contender. That was a good win for Machida.

So Mousasi is consistent, right?:lol:

Weidman stalled that fight for AGES.

Chris was getting kicked around and looked like he ran out of ideas and then Anderson's ego took over...
