    This just goes to show that Wilder is not marketable at all in the USA.

    What other US HW belt holder in history -- with 34 fights on his record -- ever generated this little revenue?

    Honestly, 140K isn't that bad. Thats like 2 years pay at a decent job. Think about it, they could find another stiff for Wilder to pad his record with pretty easily... These cab drivers are more desperate now since Uber is taking a lot of their money.

    It's bad and shows he isn't a draw but it's not the worst ever. Bruce Seldon only made $700K when he defended his title against Joe Hipp, though that was 20 years ago. I think Ruiz and Byrd also made less than a million for some title fights.

    So if your mentioning names like Seldon, Byrd and Ruiz who were never popular fighters then it's clear Wilder is not being taken seriously by the boxing fans.
