I see this is the new stats that show punches landed on the gloves too.

when you say he's "awful" do you mean he's not quite the technician like a Rigondeaux or Mayweather?

You know how the fans adore high-quality technical boxing. So this deficit could really hamper Wilder. What is he doing, throwing all those wild punches and haymakers? The savvy mainstream fans hate that ****.

That card is what makes it robbery of the year. Even 96-94 Breazeale is pushing it.

Breazeale didn't won 5 rounds by any standard. He won 4 tops, possibly 3. I had it 96-94 for Kassi but last round could be called for Kassi as well.

"Awful" = lacks sound fundamentals or discipline. Too many holes in his game. Look, he can be a champ for now. So was Ruiz for awhile.

Casuals love KO's. But casuals know who has skill and who does not. GGG has skill, even though he delivers KO's. Wilder lacks refinement in his skills and it's obvious, even to casuals. The holes are large enough to drive a truck through.

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just calling it as I see it.

Most casuals have zero taste for refinement and they like a good bash-up.

Casuals like to watch Rios-Alvarado. Get outta here.

Casuals like this sort of slopfest. It was a decent fight tbh. Povetkin is going to knock him out cold.

    Exactly!!!
Duhaupas took a heap of punches on the gloves with great defence.
Wilder deserved to win, and showed he has some gas, but those stats are as biased as the PBC commentary

    Again you are not understanding.

Haymon isn't losing money on JCC... JCC's luster has been gone for years. JCC only went to Haymon because he couldn't sell his on PPV's and make money anymore.

Haymon could give a flying **** about Showtime. Haymon's plan doesn't include premium cable. Haymon doesn't want nor need Showtime at this point.. remember PBC came AFTER the Floyd deal was already signed.

What's your point on scoring.. it's bad everywhere all the time. Televised or non-televised, any country anywhere.

Nope, not at all. Haymon's not an idiot, he knows what Wilder is... why do you think Wilder is fighting where he is instead of Vegas. You're the only one who seems to think Wilder was something he never was.

Too much lack of skill, from both guys.

It's like this: I love watching a home run hitting contest in baseball. But if the guys in the contest are swinging and missing over and over again, and missing wildly and with poor technique, at some point I'm going to tell myself "these guys suck as players, even if I like it when they finally hit a home run."

Wilder, and his poor opponents, don't look like championship material. They just don't look good enough. At some point, that's going to limit the appeal of the show. Even casuals can see when a guy lacks skills when the lack of skills is so obvious.

No, you're not understanding. No more reason for me to continue talking with you. In general, I don't waste my time talking with walls.

I thought wilder looked great against stiverne. But the two fights since then, not so much.
