Tired of Povetkin fans and their whining, can't weight for Wilder to fight this guy.

Wilder will go for an early knock out vs Povetkin and will try to finish him off in the first 2 rounds. Remember this. I don't know if he can but he will definitely go for it. He does have a shot at knocking him out and he can certainly outpoint him with his jab. People seem to exaggerate Povetkin a lot. He's good but beatable too.

I would be SHOCKED if Wilder beats Povetkin. Sasha is a clear cut #2 in the division and his record speaks for itself.

But there is a chasm, in terms of skill, experience, ability to take a punch, between #2 and #3.

Wilder has that power and that reach, but Povetkin already fought a rangy power puncher, and he came out stronger than ever.

Povetkin is a bad matchup for Wilder. The blueprint is there to beat Wilder he just faced two guys that didn't have the talent to execute it. Povektin does. Can Wilder land a big shot and maybe pull the upset yeah. But anyone who knows the sport knows Povetkin will be massive favorite going in. 3 of Wilder's last 4 fights have been disappointing. Only the Stiverne match did he live up to expectations. That won't get it done against Alexander who is a seasoned pro with Talent ability and confidence.

 

Povetkin, a gold medalist in the Olympics, superheavyweight division..................he knocked out Perez in the very first round................if he lands a right on Wilder it will be lights out................that fight will be in Moscow.............

The first couple of rounds in tonight's fight were very telling in some ways. Povetkin theoretically "should" be able to capitalize on the openings that Duhaupas couldn't... however, there are different factors at play. Wilder did show that he could switch up his assault tonight; he did something similar in the Stiverne fight (when he decided to box his way to a UD after recognizing that Stiverne wasn't going away early). Povetkin may not give him much of an opportunity though, since he is better than Stiverne -and especially Duhaupas- in virtually every category.
