Jack Johnson's uppercut over Foreman, Tyson, and Lewis? Crazy thinking.

I think every single fighters would rather be hit by Johnson's uppercut in comparison to the three names I listed.

the smash was great no doubt, however, it was not a full upper cut, it was half a left hook.

I'd have to see the context of the question. If you asked Futch who had the harder uppercut, he would not have said Johnson. Futch was there to see Foreman's uppercut pick Frazier's the canvas.

Futch like many trainers was biased on this topic. Futch himself said Frazier was the best he handed! Hahaha. I know you don't agree with him here, so why agree with him on the uppercut comment.

    Futch worked with:

    Paul Andrews
    Alexis Arguello
    Trevor Berbick
    Maurice Blocker
    Duane Bobick
    Rid**** Bowe
    Marvin Camel
    Bruce Curry
    Lester Felton
    Patrick Ford
    Bob Foster
    Joe Frazier
    Antonio Gomez
    Montell Griffin
    Shane Sutcliffe-club fighter
    Leroy Haley
    Virgil Hill
    Larry Holmes
    Eddie Jones
    Don Jordan
    Hedgemon Lewis
    Tony Licata
    Mike McCallum
    Wayne McCullough
    Willie Monroe
    Walter Moore
    Ken Norton
    Cubanito Perez
    Mando Ramos
    Freddie Roach
    James Shuler
    Ernie Singletary
    Michael Spinks
    Marlon Starling
    Alex Stewart
    Johnny Tapia
    Roscoe Toles

A long irrelevant list that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.
Foreman lands one uppercut of note, Marciano too.Louis was adept at the punch and like Johnson, could throw it from either hand, he destroyed Godoy with it.

Futch also said the three best heavyweights of all time , in his opinion were, in no order: Ali ,Johnson ,Louis. Anyone who knows boxing acknowledges Johnson had a superb uppercut which he could deliver from either hand. I would put Holmes next , where you place anyone is of no interest to me whatsoever.

Foreman, Tyson, Bowe. Morrison wasn't too shabby, Louis, Holmes. Foreman had the most power, Tyson and Bowe had better form and were very effective.

Foreman and rocky could and did throw great uppercuts with both hands.

the rest of the guys are pretty much right hand only. Changes a lot of things only having to worry about 1 thing--imagine Tyson if he had the ability to throw a left uppercut. Or Joe Louis.

Louis and Johnson could both throw uppercuts from either hand.

I'd say Foreman had the hardest uppercut, the way he took Frazier apart was something else. Still can't believe Shavers or Holyfield aren't on some peoples list also.
