Not entirely accurate. Yes, Wlad was downed by Purrity in his 25th fight, but it was not until he was decimated by Sanders in his 42nd fight that he changed his style to avoid confrontation; that's when Emmanuel Steward stepped in.

Wilder just had his 35th "fight".....by this time in Wlad's career he'd fought and beaten WAY better opponents than Wilder has so far...Monte Barret, Ray Mercer, Chris Byrd, Frans Botha, Alex Schultz, hell even Everett "Big Foot" Martin are better than anyone Wilder has faced.

Wilder has fought no one up to now that could be seriously considered a big puncher. Not really even Stiverne, who up to now is Wilders best victory.

I'm waiting for Stiverne's next fight. I suspect he will disappoint big.

When he beats Povetkin up, he will be due some credit. He's not ready for Wlad yet, though.

Wilder's not garbage. But he's not nearly as good as his record suggests, either.

People were calling me at that seemed to be the consensus I got as well. Povetkin ends him.

let's be honest, MOST esb posters dont have the slightest clue what they're watching.

DW is already proven to me he is the best HW out there by far, excatly how i felt aboout tip G 5 years ago, that he was th best MW and a top p4p fighter.

bot DW and trip G are so pathetically hated on in here have no idea they are witnessing the greatest MW ever an the best HW since a prime LL

    You are a casual fan.

Some of the posters here actually understand boxing, and have been watching it for longer than you have been alive son.

We do not like being fed a fraudster, who is only there because the WBC has become so easily paid off.

Lets be honest, you are an idiot. A bonafide idiot.

You aren't going to trick people into thinking he is is good. The "you don't know boxing" card never works and is not going to work here.

You have negated any credibility that you might have by saying that he has proven to you that he is the best heavy. He struggles with bums and no amount of posturing changes that.

    Well stated.

This is pretty much was going on in peoples opinion of Wilder, they're flat out afraid an American has arrived on the scene to wipe away with all these C level fighters that Wlad himself has made a career of defending against, then knock Wlad himself into retirement.

One thing that cant be denied about Wilder. Unlike Wlad, who wont throw a power punch until his foe has zero in the tank, Wilder takes risks in a boxing ring. He pumps that jab out with authority and he lets his punches rip from the start.

Wilder dominates while looking to take a fighter out, Wlad keeps safe distance while he pushes (not pumps) his jab out.

A fighter comes at Wlad looking to throw thunder, Wlad goes into clutch mode, while Wilder goes into beast mode.

I think I'll chose to watch Wilder thankyou very much.

He is in love with himself because they have convinced him that he has power and ability that he does not have.

With over 70 amateuer and pro fights he does not know what he is doing. That is because he has fought the lightest of touches and surrounded himself with yes men that just want to cash him out.

The entire world saw him get badly rocked by Molina and have his eyes busted up by Duhaupas.

Wlad stop him when he is fifty.

What tools would that be? They tried to sell him as a big puncher because any fool can see what a flailing, windmilling clotz he is. But the Stiveren, Molina, and Duhauaps fights have now shown the world what some of us already knew- the big power isn't really there. He is a tall guy with good but overrated power, a questionable chin, and technique that is at best "in progress." This is the WBC champion?

I have been a boxing fan for 35 years, since the day I saw Ray Mancini lose to Bramble on televison. I have put up with the multiple champioships, the bad decisons, the protected fighters, the doctored rankings...all of it. Because of the corruption of creating a heavyweight chamionship for this loudmouth scrub, the sport might lose me.

He's tall. I'll give him that. The "athletic ability" is as mythical and rarely seen as bigfoot.

    Telling the truth is sad?

By beating a guy who could't last four with Demetrice King to to problems being a fat ****? By defending a "world title" agaisnt the scrubbiest scrubs possible and having tough, competitive fights agaisnt them both? It almost defies belief and is beneath.

Sweet Jesus on a bicycle--this guy is allegedly a world champion! Why is a the jury still out? Wlad figths guys like, Povetkin, Chageav, Haye, Ibragimvv, Thompson, McCline, Pulev, Mercer. And you are defending this "champion" who fights names like Molina and Duhauapas. Just wow.

I honestly can't believe that I am reading this.

It isn't the point. Wlad did continue to evolve because he fought the best and took good council. This buffoon does neither. He certainly MIGHT become a good fighter once he takes his lumps, and I will be happy for him if he does. Bu there is no indication of this happening.
