I don't get this theory that if Tyson connected with Ali's Jaw he would necessarily go down. At world level Tyson was not a one punch KO artist (witness the amount of punches landed flush on Pinklon Thomas's jaw before he went down) and Ali's powers of recovery were exceptional. In Tyson's prime his opponents were too concerned with survival to throw many offensive blows but we saw later on in his career that in a long, tough fight his eyes would swell and cut and he would be steadily dismantled (Douglas, Lewis etc..). I still think Ali would survive Tyson's initial onslaught, and his fast, accurate punches would make a mess of Tyson's face and sap his energy.

So again what the fuk has any of this got to do with Tyson beating a 38 year old Holmes in 1988?

I'll answer the question for you.

    NOTHING.

It has to do with Larry still being good at 38. Mike deteriorated way more by the time he got back from jail than holmes did at 38. If you can't see that you dksab. the larry that fought tyson would have beaten holyfield and any of the other 90s contenders

Tyson way too small. Ali takes out faster than he did with Cleveland Williams.

Larry got it spot on RE Tyson, "I'm going down in history, Tyson's going down as a son of a *****"

All you have shown is there is no limit to the idiocy of Tyson nut huggers. So you really are daft enough to claim Holmes was as good at 38 as he was at 30.

I don't care less about Tyson or his prison sentence they have less than nothing to do with him aged 21 beating up 38 year old Holmes.

It is obviously you that dksab.

The 43 year old who fought and defeated Mercer or went the distance with holyfield would certainly beat the Holmes who fought Spinks, and there is no proof a younger Holmes was better, based on what? He was a little faster but not as durable/stronger or smarter. You wouldn't know that! Once again agenda back fire!

ali had the rare combination of qualitites to beat prime tyson i think. speed, chin, ring smarts, footwork, jab, no fear etc. i think he would out box mike to a points win. he could have a few bad moments though but he just had that chin and will to win. i cant see mike getting past that
