Roach: 'Khan was KO'd cold by Pac in sparring 3-4 times'

    "Manny Pacquiao used to regularly knock out Amir Khan in sparring, trainer Freddie Roach has revealed.

    The two boxers both trained together at Roach's Wild Card gym in Los Angeles and Khan would often end up on the mat as a result of Pacquiao concussive one-punch power.

    ‘Manny frequently put Amir on the floor, knocking him cold four or five times,' Roach revealed for the first time.

    Since those KO's were inflicted with gloves more thickly padded than those used in actual fights and Pacquiao is as fast as Khan, Roach also poured cold water over the idea of the pair meeting."



    My question is, why knowing this is Khan chasing the Pac fight? Is it just a smokescreen to force a different fight or is Khan truly trying to cash out now that PBF has retired.

    Thoughts?

    We have known for a long time that Khan is packing a glass mandible.

    He has done well though for a fighter with such a pure bone china chin.

    Not surprised Pac at that time was knocking out big mw's

    Its not suppressing at all add to the fact khans chin is not the best

    Pac knocked shawn porter down 2 times before his fight with cotto

    But if khan fought todays Pac I would give him a really good chance

    Why does it have to be China chin, why can't it be cheap American chin. Cheap American products are as unreliable as China products:lol:.

    You find it hard believe Pac who at that time was rocking big mws with one shot ?

    Pac also knocked porter down 2 times before his fight with cotto

    What type of trainer is Roach if he puts one of the stars of his stable in with a guy who repeatedly knocks him out cold? What good would that do anyone?

    Usual Roach BS. At the time he was saying how even their sessions were and how Khan had a similar left to DLH! E also used to rave about how Khan would regularly out perform Pac in many of the training exercises. I don't know how anyone believes anything he says. He's a walking contradiction.

    I'd imagine even a near prime Manny would KO most boxers in sparring seeing as it's only a few rounds and it'll be solid action for the whole duration. That only feeds into Manny's aggressive and explosive style.

    Dont agree. So your point is that you can ko a guy in 4 rounds but you cannot ko him in 12 rounds. No, sorry, I dont agree.

    Khan packs glass. Tons of glass. He's over rated as hell. And was he white and catholic he would have as many fans as victor ortiz or so. A shot pacquiao would send a-mere-con to the hospital, and pacquiao is not shot. So, make your maths.
