If it wasn't for our servicemen you would be speaking in german, and today would be speaking and writing in Arabic.

Insert old and tired cliche here ....

I agree the historical conflicts the guys deserve immense credit and appreciate there sacrifices fully. The modern day ones where we invade countries in order to **** them of there resources then we cry the ones hard done are a different story am afraid.

We go into those countries to teach all enemies of freedom civilisation. These enemies whose goals are imposing radical beliefs on people everywhere around the world whose docrines decrees to kill all Christians, Jews, Americans and British civilians including women and children.

So when a individual decides to stand up and join the forces because he wants to serve and protect his country from such evil, then they should be the ones with reserved praise with words such as brave, heroic and courageous

I thought people were saying Buglioni showed heart and courage, which he did, I never saw the word "hero" typed anywhere, but Buglioni did show heart and courage how you can deny that fact is beyond me.

As for the quote of yours I posted, what can I say, I'd say most of your posts reflect somebody who is completely brainwashed but I didn't think it was this bad.

"Defending our freedoms" that comment frightens me, people like you are the real danger to people's personal freedoms.

Personally I don't see young men and women droning, bombing and shooting women and children in the Middle East as "heroes".

But let's define hero, the definition I found was this

a person, typically a man, who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

That could be applied to all sorts of people for a variety of reasons.
If you have a problem with Buglioni getting praise for a brave effort then fine but don't come on here with this rubbish about the armed forces.

I think N17 is making a powerful argument. Sort of like puppy training, doubleEdge has pi$$ed himself and N17 is rubbing his beak in it. Nice.

Well the Royal Family have very strong German ancestry so I would have thought somebody as patriotic as your good self would be encouraging that sort of behaviour.

They rebranded the Royal family during WWI, They changed their surname from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor.

I can sort of understand the "speaking German" comment but why would we be speaking Arabic?

These countries where we went in to liberate were under leaders where the regime brutalised their own civilians. Many of the people were starving causing many to flee for refuge. In those countries, women and were not allowed education. Children would be beaten if they did not pray the right number of times in the day.

If you disbelieved entirely then you would be behaded or stoned.
Girls as young as 9 years old would be married off to old men according their laws.

Unfortunately in taking such action to remove such dictatorial influence, there would be casualties.

However we remember daily those who sacrificed themselves for a greater good, a better future for it's people that would no longer have to live in fear

If we weren't in those countries, they would be find any other reasons to commit terrorist acts and recruit more people for their agenda to establish a caliphate around the world.

You would be praying to allah right now if our servicemen were not occupying those regions. If you tried even touching your laptop you'd find your hands on the floor.

That is the doctrine of the enemy. Against this kind of enemy who will not rest until they have their global caliphate, the only type of response that is required is to go on the offence, stay on the offence and take the fight to them until they stopped

Btw I am not excusing the royal family and their heritage, I'm not a royal enthusiast, so I have no desire to see a whole nation lose it's heritage in favour of a German one.

As for speaking arabic, if ISIS had their way you would be chanting allahu akbar before you start and finish any sentence.

Or you think they are your friends?

I believe vast majority join the army etc as a means of earning a living

The fact that many go on to become heroes as well I don't deny but I don't think the main reason for joining army is because they want to serve the country any more

    It's just a job

And that's no disrespect to any of them intended at all

As within the services there are many true heroes as well

I'm guessing because the 10s of thousands who are unemployed don't get labelled as heros - like those boxers do

I thought it was only Americans that were stupid enough to believe we are out there bulldozing countries for our '' freedom '' :patsch

Double you even have the audacity to claim we would be speaking Arabic if our boys didnt fight them? :patsch

How are they going to invade us? On banana boats?

All my family joined the Army because it was the only show in town, whether that be lack of available work or mucked about in school. Not one has joined to do their duty.

And not one of my 3 brothers who serve believe any of this fighting for '' freedom '' nonsense.

One of them has just come back from 6 months in Iraq training their soldiers and he knows it was 6 months of his life wasted.

So your siblings found army life tough and thought it was going to be like battlefield hardline and now want to bad mouth the entire operation?

GTFO son. Countries like syria, iran saudi arabia and ****stanhave adequate military power and these places have been backing and protecting terrorist groups for decades
