It's probably more accurate to say he has overrated skills and above average footwork.

Plus we will soon see his chicken danse footwork. I bet it will be incredible and memorable!

PS: In fact, I like GGG and I feel somewhat sad that it will happen.

No, we won't. Golovkin's timing is impeccable, David's is lacking most of the time. David is relentless, wild... he sacrifices accuracy for volume and brute force - or what's left of it, say on his 5th consecutive power punch. Golovkin sacrifices volume and consistent power for accuracy, feints and ultimately a KO set up.

Golovkin will put David down early in the fight, on a massive counterpunch. David will either get up and be in WTF mode until Golovkin ends it, or he'll pull a Rubio and say fukk it I'm going home.

That's all coming from the guy who made the first Lemieux tribute thread (probably the only one, actually).

You ask a guy like Rummy, he'll tell you Golovkin's skills are overrated and that Lemieux is mediocre at best. Yet we're talking about the H2H #1 and #2 threats at MW, one being a long time successful amateur with a massive KO streak over top 5, top 10 and top 20 guys and the other being an improved slugger that won't gas out despite his all-out power oriented style. But they're not American or they don't have a top American fighter on their resume like Kovalev does, so they not cool.

Amazing offensive skills. If Floyd had these skills along with his defense he would be better and Leonard.

Ward told HBO that he isn't interested in calling anymore Golovkin fights with Jim and Max. He told Hershman to have Roy do them from now on. Bitter man!:(
