So you got 3 brothers who couldn't hack it after 6 months and you want to pretend that you know all about war and politics.

They were probably on guard patrol while watching their comrades on the front line do the real work and decided it wasn't for them. As soon as they saw first shot being fired it probably hit home that this it wasn't a game

Yeah... you and your hack brothers are real fcking heroes. I bet you impress a lot of your friends with your ''family'' war stories.

Well it doesn't impress me and doesn't make your soft toy soldier brothers of yours heroes for packing it in after 6 months.

The british army doesn't need wannabe soldiers that go home at the first sight of conflict and cry themselves to sleep. They need real soldiers who are willing to see out the mission to the very end and be proud of their job.

I mean you think your brothers were going to be briefed on all the political reasons for preparing combat?

Their job is to simply carry out orders not to understand all the reasons for why they were there in iraq and Afghanistan.

This isn't a fcking video game or a film where the president touches down in between base from a helicopter and tells all the soldiers why they are fighting. You go out there and you follow orders from the chief in command.

It's called a typo you spastic.

And no I'm not saying that those countries have greater military power, I'm saying if we didn't have soldiers willing to fight and protect us, then those countries have enough military power to harm our countries.

That was in response to your re****ed retort that they would be attacking us with banana boats.

For someone who gets so hung up on spelling, your reading comprehension is on a spastic's level.

    I'll simplify this thread for you;

The point is of this thread is that the ''good'' dutiful soldiers who are willing to actually take part in battle to protect our country - are those who should be given such praise with words such as hero, courageous and brave - in comparison to boxers who get in the ring solely for monetary gain

It happens in football too; the commentators will call players brave for diving into a tackle or challenging for a header, or a hero for scoring a late goal.

It dilutes the term and gives it towards those who do not deserve to be called as such.

I didn't read anything after the part in bold because you're a complete div.

Our lads go out to Iraq and Afghanistan for 6 months at a time, it's the same for all the soliders. A tour = 6 months... shows exactly how much you know about the forces and what they actually do. :hi:

Yes but your brothers are not soldiers any more because they thought the whole experience was a waste of time. Your words not mine.

So they packed it in after 6 months. Didn't want to see any more war as clearly they didn't have the stomach for it.

What are your 'heroes'' doing now with their time? campaigning against joining the military?

DoubleEdge is certainly stupid, but I have enjoyed some of the responses to his teenage ramblings about warfare, as they've been quite astute.

What are you rambling on about? They didn't jack anything in you moron. Can't you comprehend what you're reading?

A soldier gets posted to Iraq for a tour which equals 6 months, so my brother did 6 months and now he's home. Get it? Does that fact sink into your pea brain?

Do 6 months on tour and come home?

6 months on tour, then come home?

1,2,3,4,5,6 months on tour with the army then come's home. The same for every single soldier.

Just incase you missed it which im sure you will.

Six months on tour then come's home? Did you miss it?

Still a serving soldier just not in a war zone? Understand? Wan't me to write it out with crayons? and you've got the audacity to throw around the spastic comment?

He's been training the new Iraqi army, the one you think that has a chance of invading the UK.

He said it was a waste of time because they're a shower of **** who will run away at the first sign of trouble... 6 months of his life without his wife and kids that he won't get back. I'm sorry if you feel offended by that omission. Apart from that he earn't a small fortune which is why he volunteered to go in the first place. Not for duty or honour, pound notes.

    Good day. :hi:

Well I'm pleased to hear your brothers are making themselves useful. Although it's clear that their hearts are not in and so should stop poisoning the service with their **** attitude.

I don't know if it's wise for the army to your have your brothers train more flakes like themselves who can't handle war zones.

What I and the Army don't appreciate, is your brothers coming home and then bad mouthing the troops and telling everyone that it was a waste of life.

You either serve with honour, pride and professionalism and you keep that God-damn mouth shut or you don't ****ing serve at all.

Your brothers obviously signed up for the wrong reasons, and not every soldier thinks with his pockets.

Like I said, there are good soldiers and then there are rotten selfish soldiers who will stand by on the sides and watch their comrades get blown to pieces and walk away because they are only thinking about themselves.

When the whole point of it is loyalty, teamwork and work ethic.

DoubleEdge, you haven't really specified why you feel it's your place to comment on (and for) the army in this way. "What I and the army don't appreciate"?! Are you a soldier?

Let me tell you something, I've met soldiers who have come back home, with no legs, no arms and half their faces blown off. And others who've come back only to find out their wives have been cheating on them with someone they thought were their friends or they've taken the kids with them to live with some other man in some other country

All of those guys, served to very the end and you ask them if they would do it again and they all say they would do it ten times over because of the honour they felt in putting on the uniform and fighting for a righteous cause.

That's the amount of pride, loyalty and courage that they have because they're real soldiers, not deadbeat wannabe soldiers who see an explosion and want no more of it.

Fake soldiers who think they will put on the uniform and immediately be given AK-47s to shoot the bad guys with, while the bad guys shoot and their bullets hit the wall after they dogged them with their shoulders and then throwing bombs as if they are Max Payne and walking away from it like nothing happened.

It's like a boxer training in camp for 3 months, then he watches his friend who has been his sparring parnter, , get in the ring for his first bout - but then the sparring partner gets beat down by a better opponent and this boxer guy watching on, says to himself ''nah this isn't for me, this a waste of life''

Then gives up boxing, but then trains other boxers. Now does that make sense?

A boxer that gave up essentially is training up other boxers on how to fight!

So do you think nazis were good blokes who fought for an honourable cause, all because their government said so, and they followed orders?

'Righteous cause' is subjective, people who question their governments own propaganda aren't all of a sudden traitors or cowards like you seem to think. German soldiers believed they were fighting for a righteous cause...do you agree that they were? You're brainwashed.
