calzaghe is a flawed fighter, poor punch tech for supposed world class, but he pasted over it with increased output from great stamina

I think he rates himself in Mayweather's league by virtue of his victories over Jones and Hopkins, and his unbeaten legacy. Lacy and Kessler are just icing on the cake.

There was nothing delusional in thinking that Dawson may have beaten Joe in 2008. Chad has never been the same since his weight struggle and his loss to Ward. You can say he's mentally weak and he's faded fast, but in 2008 he was a very good fighter. That would have been a very tough fight for Joe at that stage at LHW. Chad had a good resume then and to my knowledge Joe never fought a southpaw as good.

A fight with Ward would also have been great. Two great fighters, with great attributes. Very intriguing. I can't envisage Joe stopping him though. Not at all.

You can say that you wish that Joe had've been promoted better, but he was clearly content with how his career unfolded. You speak of Hopkins destroying Pavlik, but I believe that Joe would have destroyed him just as easily, if not more so. But he didn't want it. Also, you would never have seen Roy and Joe fight in their primes, and it wouldn't have been Frank alone that would have prevented it.

Calzaghe lost the "acting part" of the fight, but as for the boxing, Joe made Hopkins look like a bum. Hopkins was outclassed.

    Handseed--Joe
    skills-- Joe
    Workrate- Joe
    footwork-- Joe
    Chin-- Joe
    Power-- Wilder
    Size-- Wilder

If a former 154lb fighter went up to heavyweight and beat a champion who was good enough to beat Holyfield.

Why can't a natural 168lb box the socks off of a Heavyweight who isn't as good as Ruiz?

Ill take a prime Calzaghe to UD Wilder fairly easy. There will be a flash KD, and some scary moments, but Joe will weather the storm and do his thing.

Joe was born alittle too early.
He could of been a Heavyweight title holder.:deal

Calzaghe couldn't beat the Ruiz that Roy fought that night. Hell he damn near got stopped by a shot to **** Jones earl, and he's luck that Roy's fist didn't connect.

Joe doesn't have enought power to keep Wilder off him unlike Roy who had good power even at HW
