Tyson said he wasn't sure if the could beat the Klitschkos, then inferred that whether people like it or not athletes are better as decades pass.

The read between the lines translation is when a fighter says I don't know and qualifies it with fighters are better these days, he thinks not.

But one can never be 100% sure in a high level boxing match.

Tyson was supposed to fight Vitali Klitschko. The two took pictures. Tyson looks like a 13 year old boy next to Vitali. But Danny Williams defeated Tyson, so Vitali beat on him instead.

    Magoo,

I like you as a poster but please do more research before making a false statements.

Two of the three judges gave Vitali round 5!

Max Kellerman who was a bit of a Klitschko antagonist at the time said he never saw Lennox Lewis so tired. Lewis crashed down hard on his stool at the end of the 6th round. We all saw how much energy Vitali had left once he learned the fight was being stopped.

I think if there was a 7th round Vitali wins it

Precisely. The whole 'He was ahead in the fight' is exaggerated.

People forget, Tyson was also ahead on the cards vs both Williams and Mcbride, but if your stopped, your stopped.

Unclegermite made a statement that is not true, he knew it when he made it he is, like you a liar. Your translation is not relevant , you are hardly objective on the Klit Bros.

You could very easily translate that into Tyson being humble (which is what hes become since retiring).

Had he said 'I would have beat the Klitsckos if i was around now' people would have been up in arms at his comment.

If Tyson was asked about the Klitsckos in 86-91, i think his answer might have been a bit different.

Why would Vitali win a 7th round? He lost the 6th on all scorecards.:patsch
All judges gave Lewis 2 of the 6 completed rounds. Vitali had 60 stitches in his face after the fight. He was beat, end of.

You talk about the fight as though Vitali was coming on ,when in fact Lewis had taken the last round and the 5th on one scorecard!

What about the other quote he said...how convienently you ignored that one? You just don't get it that Tyson doubted he would beat them, weather he could oor not is not the discussion.

Of Lewis vs Vitali,Lewis was getting battered in the fight,he may have stole the last round with ten seconds left but in reality he lost that round too because vitali landed the better shots,it could go either way in that round and that was the closest round that Lewis won, that does not mean he was gaining momentum.Vitali is abetter long distance fighter than Lewis is.The hard truth is Vitali took half the life out of lewis in the second round.

Don't forget in Termites world fight scoring is not how it seems, he had Tyson winning every round against Tillis when two of the judges had it 6-4. Don't go hard on the young window licker, with age comes wisdom although I'm not very hopeful for him... :rofl

Truthfully, the most avoided heavyweight didn't even get into the ring. Suge Knight.

    Mike Tyson
Asked if he would return for a reality show which pits former champions against each other, he said: “Never. I don’t want to be a part of bringing somebody back to the ring. The risk is so high.
“Now we are dealing with guys that have enhancement drugs. You are going to hurt these guys or they’re gonna die, get brain damage or broken bones.”
Tyson says he is still haunted by his demons of insecurity, anger issues and addictions.

Well fuk it then. If everyone on this forum is allowed to rewrite history I'm claiming that Duran actually beat Hagler in 83 because after 12 rounds he was ahead on all 3 cards.

I don't see why Hagler should get any more credit for winning the championship rounds, and thus the fight, than Lewis who even though behind on the cards made Leetchko's face look like a cows kunt, thus forcing a stoppage.

Anyone else got any results they feel should be altered? Feel free, this is your golden opportunity to rewrite history.
