Would strongly fancy Africa's greatest, 'ick Tiger, say prime 1962 version, to beat Hagler. Richard had trouble with movers, but Marvin usually came to fight. Despite his losses, many debatable, Tiger achieved more. He was an undisputed champion in two weights, even though he was past his best at the higher weight. Immensely strong, he fought the best in a highly competitive period. Tiger v Hagler would have been a classic.
The following written by you is not a rhetorical question, due to the qualification immediately after it. This is due to the fact that it is far from nonsense to say Hagler was bigger in the measurements listed, simply because he was. It would only be nonsense if he were not.
Are you seriously claiming beating Steve Collins and Herol Graham deserves more credit than beating, Bobby Watts, Willie Munroe, Eugine Hart, Minter, Antuofermo, Roldan, Duran, and Mugabi? Both were Euro level fighters. Collins was beaten by Reggie Johnson, for a meaningful title, and got his WBO version by beating Chris Pyatt. As for Graham, he didn't even manage that.
I said Hagler's overall body of work at 160 is better as it should he spent his whole career at the weight MM was there for IDK maybe 4 years or so. But when you compare their best wins MM takes it. 160 despite not being nearly as glamorous was just much better in 1990 there were like 8 or 9 guys better than Mustafa Hamsho(who is Hagler's 2nd best win)
I obviously knew you had picked Hagler earlier in the thread, I don't proof read my posts, I don't do english good, you already quote dis post before, getting stupid on both our parts. Be nice,
Robinson, Monzon, Zale, LaMotta, Langford, Carter, maybe Griffith by decision. Remember, Hagler had a real hard time against a fat Roberto Duran.
So just to clarify. You are saying beating Graham, Watson, Collins, and Kalambay tops anything Hagler did at 160? Good luck with that.rofl
I don't think that you could "favour" anybody against MMH at MW. You could say some guys (Monzon, SRL, Greb?) would have a 50-50 chance at best. IMHO, of course. I am a bit of a Hagler fan, so take it as it comes
Hagler had trouble with faster fighters. His ring smarts were pretty bad. At times, he tried to box better boxers. Other times he took his foot off the gas and gave away rounds. I think Roy Jones, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Nunn, Harry Greb, and Golovkin would likely beat him, but these are close fights.
The fact that you concede the underlined makes an absolute nonsense of your earlier contention that McCallum was the bigger man.
