I can't tell if Nichols jab landed and/or Wilder was held down for a second by the jab because the right hand didn't seem to land afterwards. The ref was right there. Why didn't he issue a count if a punch landed. He was right there lol???

There was a punch, Wilder went down. It was a knockdown.

Knockdowns are not dependent on the refs or anyone else subjective oppinions of an opponent being "hurt."

The ref didn't call it because, like everything else with Wilder's career, the fix was on. Fortunately, unlike the Scoiners video which has been scrubbed, the entire world can still see that Nichols put him down.

Stivern is a guy who was beaten by Demetrice King in 4. Wilder could not equal that feat. His punches had not effect because he was so fat he was peeing gravy.

As for Povetkin- he is in another league from the glass jawed fraud regardless how big of a nuthugger you are. He will end Wilder's career.

 

It's hard to tell if the punch landed from the video. Either it landed and it was a clean knockdown or the punch missed and Wilder's balance was so poor he staggers halfway across the ring and goes down.

But it looked like a knockdown to me. Even if it wasn't he was still dropped by Sconiers a journeymen with 17 losses at the time and very little power.

Wilder's chin may not be as terrible as some suspect but it's definitely not good. Even Duhaupas' weak shots had Wilder complaining to the ref about being hit on the back of the head when the slow motion clearly showed they were clean shots.

 

When Nichols lands and you go down, only a fool would question whether it was legit.

Dustin is an extremely talented guy and he would NOT have been beaten by Bambi on Ice, had he not been paid to take a dive.
