The ideal boxer is a dedicated athlete, who doesn't like being a part of a team and has the nerves, GGG is a great example.

Its a rare breed:
-A Hockey player has to be dedicated athlete has the nerves but likes being on a team.
-A Skateborder has the nerves doesn't like the team concept but isn't a dedicated athlete
-A Tennis player doesn't like being on a team is a dedicated athlete but doesn't have the nerves

It was from Mikey's own words that he didn't want the fight because Gamboa was making too much. You can blame Arum for a lot of things, but the Gamboa fight was all Mikey's fault. This is coming from the biggest Mikey Garcia fan. He's like my favorite boxer currently, but he's also the biggest idiot on the planet for counting pennies when he could in Crawford's position as a p4p star.

 

Golovkin. Guy seems so happy and content in training camp in all his interviews.

Also, Kovalev because he's a psychopath. Guy gets a thrill out of hurting others, and if he wasn't a boxer, he'd probably be a serial killer.

Arum is a promoter who willingly sabotoges a fighters career for not resigning with him before a contract expires.
He's done it repeatedly to fighters under his promotion.
Did it to Mayweather, Juan Manuel Marquez, and a lot of others when they were in their prime.

A darn shame.

Arum had a real talent to promote and he Arum would do is talk about how boring a fighter Mayweather was. When Mayweather wanted big fights, Arum would open his mouth about him not being PPV material. "The people are not interested!"

It was Arum's way to keep Mayweather's take home pay low while he himself lined his own pockets.

When Rigo was fresh out of spanking Nonito Donaire, Arum did the same to him knowing that beating Donaire, a hyped up fighter on the brink of being a Top Rank cash cow, had just turned the tables for Rigo to demand bigger money.
So Arum squashes that by defaming his style to anyone that listens.
Arum will usually go this avenue when a promotional agreement is about to expire and the fighter is showing reluctance to want to resign with him.
