Derek Chisora, a poor mans Frazier gave Vitali all he could handle and during some of the mid round talks, it seemed like Vitali wanted to quit.

Vitali outweighed Chris Byrd by 35 pounds on fight night and never came close to stopping him, but Frazier is too small and would be destroyed by Vitalis 'Foreman' like power.

Vitali was the first man to stop Larry Donald.

I didn't know Frazier was a 6'1 long range counter puncher with more reach better chin and who was a southpaw who moved around the ring? :yep

It shows frazier wasn't even on Byrds level of boxing with all the tools he would lack against Vitali....agreed. :good

I'm toeing the line right this moment - Vitali Klitschko is the most overrated fighter on this forum. Well, maybe in the general forum.

Byrd is not a stand in your face fighter with poor defense and lack of handspeed and predictability, you couldn't ask for an easier type of opponent for Vitali to beat in Frazier.....simple!

Read rocks post, previous page, maybe even actual follow the entire thread and learn something for once instead of posting garbage. :good

Vitali was older against Chisora than Frazier was against Jumbo Cummings. He lost a whole what, 2-3 rounds tops?

At that age, Joe Frazier wasn't even a poor man's Joe Frazier.

    We'll agree to disagree. :good

My last post on this thread is simply to point out that, if you believe the bolded to have the impact on H2H matchups you think it does, you'd have lost a fortune betting on Frazier vs Foreman, as George had a terrible resume and level of competition compared to Joe going into that fight. Joe beat much better fighters, but it didn't stop a predictable Foreman from destroying him. Resumes don't fight fights.

I agree resumes dont fight fights. But in a fantasy matchup there is little else to go on. We cant prove our points no matter how much we go round and round. Frazier-Foreman has little to do with this matchup in my opinion. I could be wrong, who knows? My biggest point is this fantasy fight cant just be relegated to size. Picking a winner using that logic simply doesnt jibe with history. To me its a difference in quality and will. You see it different. I dont have a particular problem with that, my problem comes from morons thinking size is the end all. History simply proves different. To me Vits matches up very well h2h in history. It cant be proven, and in my opinion his ATG ranking suffers because of it, but its not meant as a slight. My biggest problem with Vits has always been his resume and his ardent fans. We've bumped heads more than once on a Klitschko topic. What he has done and what he may have done are two different things. One you can single out, the other is guess work. For instance...we know he has quit before. Does that make him an overall quitter? I doubt it. But we know Frazier never quit against better comp. Head to head Vits has advantages...thats hard to ignore. But stylewise we differ on whether he could take advantage of them. No matter either our opinions we're not changing each others minds. And thats cool since neither of us can say our point is a sure thing. My only problem with this thread...a certain poster...is that size cannot dictate every figjt at this level. To me...at least until proven otherwise...history supports this.

Thank you for a reasonable and respectable post. We dont have to agree, but sometimes its cool to agree to disagree.
