Vitali Klit, always Quit when things got uncomfortable for him.

Even though, Vitali Klit became a world champ. He seem to always quit when things were uncomfortable for him (Chris Byrd, Hasim Rahman, Bermane Stiverne).

Byrd : V. Klit quit when he shoulder started hurting him. Holyfield fought with the same injury against Byrd. Other fighters ( Danny Williams, Berto, Mayweather).


Rahman : He retired rather than facing number #1 Rahman. Former undisputed champ with a Ko punch and was in his prime. Injuries happen in boxing all the time and champ still fight.

Stiverne : Again retired when having to faced number #1 ranked contender with a Ko punch. Pacman, ran and was serving in office too and never retired.


Real Champs don't conduct themselves like V. klit did.

This is not true. People don't know how hard it is for certain athletes. Vitali was always plagued with injury problems and was known as one of the toughest guys in the ring. He had a really bad cut against Lewis and when the Docs stopped the fight he couldn't believe it and wanted to keep going.

I remember he suffered a bad injury against Chisora. He said that he couldn't continue fighting but pulled through because Chisora slapped him the night before. Think about that when it comes to morals: If Chisora did not slap Vitali at the press conference, he would have been HW champion of the world.

Then there would have been a slew of threads about how much better Chisora was than Vitali and so called boxing experts would have called him a coward, etc. Yet it isn't true, the guy just suffers from injuries a lot. He is not a worse boxer than Byrd and Lewis. He was up on the score cards in both fights (by at least 2 points) and lost due to injury.

Vitali is a warrior, an amazing boxer, and there is nobody I would take over him H2H all time. The guy deserves the glory as an ATG, regardless of how injuries hampered his career. Wlad had the better resume, but I'd take Vitali to face the legends of the past (and that is not to slight Wlad at all)

 

You forgot to mention he was caught cheating in the past as well. He's a cheat and a quitter. That is irrefutable. :deal

Didn't mention the Lewis fight. He did fight gamely. But, he knew if he quit in that fight his career and reputation as a fighter was over. Holmes, Ali, Tyson and Holyfield all had minor to major injuries before and during a fight. But, they kept fighting or didn't back out of fights.

 

Has an Iron chin. Fights like a warrior. Hurts people and enjoys it.

That is what I would write about Vitali on his gravestone.

A far greater fighter than Dee-On-Tay will ever be.

Just clear it up, Vitali was never better than Lewis.

 

Maybe you should compare their resumes at 33 fights.
