Eddie Hearn true to his word has matched Chris Eubank Jr against a top 15 WBA ranked opponent for the October 24th show.

The opponent Tony Jeter is ranked 13th, however is 126 on Boxrec. Is it me or is this a really poor match up and just a warm up fight for Spike/ Blackwell in December?

Never mind October - is Blackwell being seriously considered for December?

From what I understand Spike O'Sullivan is their first choice but Nick Blackwell is a possibility.

I'm quite surprised team Eubank are willing to risk their man with EITHER Spike or Nick - both of whom are very hard nuts.

nick blackwell will be a much tougher proposition than spike imo, he has fought the better opposition and had a harder start to his career than spike. imo i would have eubank jr fight spike before then going on to fight him.

The Blackwell fight would be a good one .... Sullivan would literally get Spiked!!

Maybe he wouldnt get Spiked. CEJ hasnt exactly been annihilating top class opposition. Spike has his act together these days, is a very hard nut, and has a big punch too. :good

I'd rather see Eubank fight Blackwell, I think Blackwell's come up the hard way, he's still only young and has learnt on the job. I could see him causing Eubank some problems, but I'd still favour him to do the business.

Blackwell should be out this month again so December with Eubank could well happen.

With only 3 weeks left, I doubt he could hardly get a big name to fight eubank,
