How does Lemieux vs Golovkin rate a PPV? I don't care how long ago its been, the sight of Lemieux tapping gloves and then getting absolutely KTFO in embarrassing fashion by "Veneno" is still fresh in my brain housing group.

El Veneno, a guy who at his best was previously easily smashed to bits by Kelly Pavlik....and no amount of time or smoke and mirrors will have me seeing it any differently.

Sure its a throwback 50's style throw-down, but it should be on HBO.

Do you intentionally aim for hyperbole cast of an incendiary nature.

Not like this will have any effect on your thought process but this is a PPV because people want to see Golovkin on a big stage and Lemieux can provide the style for him to either shine or fail. A PPV with a sold out gate, held in a traditional venue with guaranteed main event fireworks.

So WTF is the problem? Although I am sure after the fight you will be back posting about several.

It has been my experience, as a fan of many decades to understand what is in fact PPV material and while I understand that the fan boys of a particular fighter may wax lyrical about the upcoming event, those of us in the know are curious how this one rates a PPV? an honest question from a long time boxing fan. I want to see the fight, but am unwilling to shell out my hard earned dollars for it, as I cant see it as a legit PPV... HENCE THE QUESTION.

Move to the UK and you won't have to pay for it on PPV. Or rubbish like Mayweather v Berto and Mosley v Mayorga

Value for money :nod And it was only £15

You don't get that from Mayweather v Berto.

Guys, keep in mind. HBO is a very smart, very prestiges network. They have have done estimations and projections regarding the PPV, and they wouldn't have chosen Golovkin to headline if they didn't have confidence in it being successful.

But it wasn't worth paying for. Neither were some of the Russian cards I've seen this year. Which were good as well.

    Then it's even funnier.

Regardless, he gets props from me for regularly making spectacular use of the huggy emoticon.
