Common now. 4 of those hooks were damn slaps. If those were 5 actual hooks Austin would still be in a coma.
cowardzaghe had fastest hands, since they were attached to his fast moving legging-it body during the time he was running in gibbering fear from Froch, Dawson and.. ..anyone who was pretty good. I have never seen hands move as fast as his when he was sprinting back home to wales in abject terror from a tough opponent.
Some may be close, others are so far off its laughable. Overall Wlad has sown very good speed his ENTIRE career. The guy is boring, it doesnt mean he isnt gifted and talented. You need to learn to give credit where its due.
Im sure they could if the opponents head was right next to their fist. Wlad threw 1 decent/fast hook in that succession. The rest were Mickey Mouse hooks. He didn't need to bring his arm back more than half way cos Austin's head was falling into the trajectory of his fists. Marcaino whipped two rapid fire left hooks into Mathews as he was backing away. Those hook travelled a much greater distance than Wlad and both landed flush knocking Mathews out. The commentator called Rocky 'quick as a flash' and quick as 'lightening' Marciano wasn't known as being fast but the point is anybody can throw single shots at high speed. This is what you are thought as an amateur. Snap out your shots and bring them quickly. No top level boxer is unable to throw a fast punch given the right opportunity. What Wlad did to Austin impresses you because you know nothing other than Klitschko and nothing about boxing in general. And the fact he displayed this 'speed ' on a low level bum makes your argument even more sad. Harold Scoriners beat Austin and Wilder beat Scoriners back when he was fighting in fairground tents. Is this Wlad level - fairground boxing? Its like highlighting how good Mike Tyson was for beating Sammy Scaff:tired
Rocky in his day was a bit fast at one punch shots,HIS day. Viodepo footage doesn't lie,i like how the weak arguments are now Wlads opillow punching shots are fast? When he doesn't throw pillow punches that would be ali. I dare Anyone to go to the Wlad speed thread in general forum I posted and remotely tell me hes slow? :yep
Listen ponchy , Wlads 'speed' suddenly came from the David Haye fight. Haye gave the illusion he was faster than he was. Haye was an ambush fighter , only effective countering off the back foot. He was useless on the front foot. He had one forward phase of attack and that was a wild telegraphed over hand swing. Wlad simply had to take one step back to neturlize his entire offence because Haye could not follow up with nothing. He didn't have the footwork , nor the offence. But amazingly , Wlad still had to hold and grapple Haye. Because outside of that one step back , he isn't nimble enough to continue moving out of range. I'll give credit when credit is due when you show me Wlad throwing a head body , body head , slip , hook , uppercut hook combination.
That is punching style, not punching fast,no one had a faster one/two than Wlad in boxing history not even Ali,so much that even before Steward became his trainer he said Wlad had the most perfect right hand and jab he ever seen. you really need to rethink your boxing posts, youve only posted one true post and that was my Morrison debate on hooks, but you were forced to because like wlads speed its on VIDEO ,you cannot be taken serious denying it either way.
Sure, I'll get right on that as soon as you post these examples from the list of fighters you posted as being faster than Wlad. Otherwise you're just blowing smoke again. Ponchy, lol!
