    Can't for the life of me see what your motive for picking him is or why you created this thread though. :patsch

    But in all seriousness, I've seen him fight a couple of times and he impressed me. Seems like a cool guy as well.

    True, my prediction rate is not perfect. You can earn money by betting the opposite of my picks....maybe 6 out of 100 times, but it's those other 94 that I emphasise.

    True also that Imam is still a prospect, but his KO'ing Angulo set the stage for his being the Mando for the Matthysse-Postol bout, so I guess that also marks his transition from a prospect to a serious contender.

    From watching him in all his bouts I can't help but like this kid.
    He has all the tools, has a very deep punch selection, and he knows when and how to use them.
    He is not afraid of being hit and he seems to possess a good chin.
    He doesn't appear weak mentally and maintains his composure as seen on the occasion when he was knocked down, got back up and won by TKO.

    Mostly, I like that fact that Imam is a pure fighter who doesn't rely on his footwork to avoid confrontations, doesn't rely on grappling/clinching to tie up his opponents, but a steady single, double and triple jab to maintain his distance and setup his other shots.
    I created the thread simply because the Matthysse-Postol bout just took place and Imam is in line as the mandatory for the winner.
    He presently has a what...80% KO ratio, which may or may not drop as he steps up his competition. He has real one punch KO power in that right hand, but he also throws a lot of combinations. So, as he steps up he may maintain his KO percentage by combination punching versus the single shot he has KO'ed low level competition.

    I'm not 100% certain that he isn't ready to step up his competition and force his mandatory for a title, but I am confident that he feels he is ready, so I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of this bout to enjoy the ride as his career continues to unfold. :bbb

    You must make the 94 on other sites then. :D

    He definitely has talent and looks promising. He displayed some nice power too in the fights I saw of his too. I don't know if he's ready for the top dogs at the weight yet, but I think he's not far away from mixing it up at that level if not.

    That's another thing I don't get about the fanboy mentality when it comes to guys like Imam, Ali and Rau'shee they look like little twerpy runts, nothing cool about them whatsoever, they're douches plain and simple its written all over them. :yep

    Spence is 5"9, Ali is 5"9 and Imam is 5'10", so if one is a runt then naturally the other...:lol:

    BTW: Imam's arm reach is 74" and Postol's is 70". :bbb
