So make the fight happen then, let's find out who makes excuses afterwards

Absoloutley spot on, Khan, broner get ripped to pieces on this site deservedly so regards to their embarrassing defeats, none of those have ever quit and refused to take their beatings, not gonna blame matthysse for high tailing out of there as boxers are very brave and take huge risks just getting in the ring but at least give him the same level of criticism

How could Khan take a sustained beating? When he gets tagged he gets KTFO.

I used to commend his bravery and willingness to take on difficult matches and couldn't imagine him looking for an easy way out in a fight but since he's moved up to 147 and ducked anyone with a pulse I'm not so sure.

Yeah I always chuckle when I think about his signature win over Peterson, when he knocked himself down throwing a wild haymaker. I was never sold on his boxing ability. As a fighter in general he was rated fairly but as a boxer he was overrated as hell. He tried to box with Judah, him and his trainers foolishly sacrificed a win because they wanted to show that they can actually box and put their skills on display. Save that **** for the gym.

Khan probably took as much punishment against Maidana in the 10th round as Matthysse took against Postol the whole fight. Against Garcia he was getting beat up and knocked down every 2 minutes, was stopped on his feet begging Bayliss to let him continue.

Although I don't blame him for quitting, Khan has shown a lot more heart and will to win than Lucas has.

He didn't have much problem neutralizing the jabs of Alexander or Judah, and they're southpaws which is more difficult. So :nono

Matthysse never lived up to his 'power' potential. apart from that i see him as a standard run of the mill fighter. 2nd tier beater.
he always reminded me of Kostya Tszyu, but didnt live up the the expectations or titles.

If anything Matthysse is underrated due to the Garcia loss and peoples hate on Danny, this is boxing as far as I know unless your name is Mayweather everybody losses at some point.

Granted I picked the Postol fight off fandom, but styles make fights Postol was just a bigger, longer boxer with the smarts to neutralize Matthysse on the inside. These new fights fan are imo a reason fighters don't take tough fights like that anymore any single loss and your basically a bum smh.

Only thing I'm mad at is this was probably Matthysse last chance to win a World Title, he may never be a Champ but should of had the IBF title after KOing Perterson.

Somewhat overrated I agree people tend to overrate punchers for whatever reason. I picked Garcia to beat him and most people laughed. He's fallen in love with his power and can be outboxed.

    :deal

I couldn't agree more most people here don't know **** about boxing and couldn't ****yze a fight if you paid them. They always overrate things like power but underrate things like you mentioned.

That fight was easy to see and pick. Anyone who knew boxing knew that Garcia would beat Lucas but all people ever see is power and hate for Garcia. They let hate cloud their judgment when picking fights and it happens far too often around here.

Alexander yeah, but he def didn't neutralize Judahs jab. Judah worked Lucas with the jab

Which doesn't mean that every fighter with power is a bum, which is also a popular opinion on this board.
