Funny especially considering I'm a big Calzaghe fan. Check my post history about him.:deal He's the GOAT at 168 and would be great in any era.:hi:

    Wow "lacy him" :patsch

Grow up you pathetic man. Stop acting half your age or a third of your age. Or knowing you, you're probably old as **** in a mid life crisis acting quarter of his age on forums to get some validation.

Calzaghe would not fight someone like GGG.

I would favor Calzaghe over anyone below heavyweight. He is like Billy Conn.

GGG would not be the man to beat Joe.

I hear calzaghe was recently advising the welsh rugger team how to play against minnows Fiji.

calzaghe would know a lot about that, since he fought weakling minnows almost his entire career.

good thing hes not advising them how to play vs Australia, since his tactic would be "run away fake injury and go play samoa instead"

I think this would be an excellent fight, and an excellent clash of styles between 2 evenly matched, world class operators. Seek and destroy vs a constant barrage of activity. I'd tip Calzaghe, but it would by no means be easy, and could easily be swayed to see GGG winning.

Calzaghe never ducked or ran from a fight.

How the heck can you NOT take Calzaghe at this point in GGG's career? Zaggers was a full fledged super middleweight who could box with the best of any era.

    Calzaghe by decision.

If GGG proves himself at super middle, this can be revisited.

After a very even start Zaggers has pulled well away and now sits with 2/3rds of the vote

who did Calzaghe wait till they were over 40 to agree to facing them?
the only fighter Calzaghe fought in a world title fight above 40 was Hopkins, which is also a fighter that Calzaghes team tried to make a match up with, only for Hopkins to back out, so Calzaghe wasnt waiting for Hopkins to get to 40.

ESBs biggest ducker Aurafail will try and indirectly answer this post, but as always wont have a decent answer and have to drop the subject.

    In answer to the thread.
I dont think Calzaghe would be overly comfy at a catchweight, but at SMW would be a very big clear winner in my opinion, and providing he doesnt damage his hands would, I think, win inside schedule.

I cant understand why some think Calzaghe would get stopped when he is a fighter who was never stopped, never on bambi legs or having to hold to survive, and hardly ever on the back foot
