Froch made more money in 1 fight than Ward has in his entire career

Floyd isn't exciting and he made more in 2 rounds than Froch & Ward have in their careers put together

Froch made a ton of money for those two fights with Groves. Something tells me he made a bundle while Groves, not so much.

Froch is lucky to live in a country where 80,000 drunken fans will crowd a stadium and pay good money to watch a cricket fighting match.
This is probably why fighters like Froch, Calzaghe, Benn and Eubanks can retire with large weathy bankrolls and not be tempted to make a comeback for financial reasons.
In the US, boxers don't seem to get or take advantage of the same investment opportunities.

I mean look a Felix Trinidad. He dropped all of his money into Puerto Rico bonds, and look at PR now.

 

I dont really understand what do top-boxers do to go into backrupt. Had I 20 millions $, I know a beach that's paradise on earth, I would buy a house in there and would live the rest of my life doing nothing but having baths, drinking beer in my favourite pub and staring hot chick's butts while they walk on the beach. Thats like 1000€ per month after buying the house. What do you need a ferrary for? They are stupd.

 

Ward was effective and did what he had to do to win and that did not make for the most exciting of fights.

 

Ward needs to develope a marketable personality, that's for sure. I mean his style is kinda boring but not less exciting than Floyd's.

 

I agree the US fans are very dull.

Ward ought to move to the UK and exclusively train and fight over there for a year or two.

He could wear the Apollo Creed USA boxing shorts for all of his fights, brashly sport his Gold Medal and do all of his ring walks to the Kurt Angle music. When a mic or camera is put in front of his face he could dismissively say "I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist! It's true, It's damn true!" -- and the UK fans will hate him so much (some might actually like his vilified persona) that he'd become a box office sensation.
