Another PBC special: Erislandy Lara v. Jan Zaveck

Cue people defending the fight hyping up Zaveck, this is so below Lara's level it's disgusting.

 

What do you expect from the saviors of boxing?

 

Probably 1.5 mil for Lara 20k for Zaveck

 

If Lara is serious about wanting to GGG, he can just move up to MW where Haymon has good fighters to match him with.

We coulda been set for Lara Vs Little g, but GiGi ducked and hid from the Cuban.

 

I agree. There is nothing left for Lara at 154.

 

It's easy for Lara to move to MW. His frame easily supports it, but getting Little g to fight him. That ain't so easy.
I can hear Sanchez's excuses already.
"Eh..GiGi is a big star and Lara doesn't have fan appeal and draw".
"Eh..It's not a fan friendly fight". (Right, he means Lara is a bum who will stand in front of GiGi)
"Hmmm...Eh... Fans don't like Lara's style".
Or last resort,
"Hmmm..we offered Lara a 80/20 split, but he refused. GiGi's the star and deserves 80% of the purse".

 

He could fight Vanes to resolve their previous draw.

And how do you know that? Did Haymon made an offer to K2 and Golovkin refused? Did Lara become the mando and GGG avoided him? And would you care to explain, why on earth would a MW title-holder have to fight a LMW who holds no title, who brings no money and who's not even allowed to fight on the TV channel that he has an exclusive contract with?

What you're saying is basically GGG should've cancelled his contract with HBO, skip a unification bout and a ppv fight just to fight a super-welterweight who doesn't even hold a title. C'mon man

 

A MW champion whose resume is a string of nobodies should want to add a name like Lara's so that his critics won't be able to correctly state that in 8 years he has faced no A level opponent. I would think so. :yep
