For the 400th time, Haymon is an advisor, not a promoter, he only pays the fighter HE is advising.

If other fighters don't like the disparity in purses they have one recourse...

    ****ING SIGN WITH HIM!

:DWhen it comes to activity, they make Andre Ward look like Reggie Strickland.

the disparity in purses is mostly due to taxes.

Move to Middleweight become the Mando for GGGs belt, I guarantee Golovkin accepts that fight.

Its not like people are falling over themselves to fight Lara.

The guy has continuously fought world class opposition.

One soft fight here and there isn't shocking

Al Haymon is like the era when entertainment transitioned from radio to TV.
He is the Wizard of boxing.

It's not a horrible fight given the circumstances but the circumstances suck. Lara is among those seemingly unable to get highly notable opponents. It would have been nicer to face just Delvin and Zaveck in the calendar 2015 for Lara. That said, I'm also a big Zaveck fan. But it was 4-5 years ago since I talked best about him and his body never seemed conducive to moving up to 154... and against Lara no less. I'll pick a Lara shutout with good chance of a late RTD/TKO. Zaveck could lose a respectable number of rounds close or in noble fashion.

It is interesting to read that ever deepening schism that is developing, mainly along racial lines in this sport. However it is a taboo subject and any elaboration gets met with indignant cries of "racism" that stifle any reasonable debate and only make the problem worse.

There is 80% chance that he is trolling and 20% chance that he is extremely stupid. There is no middle ground. It has been explained multiple times why GGG can't fight Lara. He would accept the fight and knock him out easy if it was possible, as one of his stay busy fights. Lara brings absolutely no challenge to his style.

This reminds me of Quillin vs. Konecný a bit.

A longtime solid guy from the Euro scene, fringe world class at his best, yet past it and being dragged up from prime weight to face a much bigger and younger man with a style that would've always been difficult anyway. Someone guaranteed to go rounds and provide a canvas for Quillin/Lara to paint on (though Kid Chocolate didn't exactly yield a masterpiece and got hit too much by the high-engine, gutsy Czech)

Konecný and Zaveck are too good to be called real cherry picks, but circumstances make them damn close to exactly that.
