Anybody else think the judges scorecards are already filled out for Liam Smith?

 

Smith's best hope is Thompson's chin, which is shaky (though neither Galarza, who TKO'ed him, nor Adams, who dropped him in the Boxcino finals, are bad fighters by any stretch of the imagination) but he packs so little explosiveness himself...and he's proving only intermittently competent at reaching that chin. Thompson is to be credited with that, using just enough movement and "boxing tall", and keeping up a good volume of deterrent shots with his own feather-fists.
