That's about the closest to my opinion on the fight. Work rate is the key:Could Vitali keep Frazier at bay round after round? I take the size differential into account also, because it IS a factor; just not sure it's as big a game changer in every fight as some seem to make out.

He didn't look very technical against Lewis. In fact both looked very "oafish" to me.

Yea specially that crisp right hand from Vitali that nearly twisted Lewis head around in a 360 of the second round  ,along with both throwing excellent jabs through out the fight.......the other half a very brawling like fight! Both were big punchers, lewis was the one rocked several times however.

Ruiz is as low skilled ranked guy for modern fighters as it comes..maybe Frazier would beat him...MAYBE! at least he wouldn't be fighting an ironed chin giant so its believable not a fantasy ! I know he wouldn't even beat RJJ so you cant even use that..i would love to hear how the 205er pummels Vitali that one never gets old.... .

Vitali destroys him. Beats him around the ring and stops him in the middle rounds.

Frazier would find it tough to win.

He'll have to work exceptionally hard getting inside and will probably ship a lot of leather on his way in.

I think stylistically Frazier had the advantage here as I think he'll be able to slip inside more often than not.

However if Vitali times him just once and poleaxes him from range it could be all over early doors.

Both showed ****ing awful balance, and fought like drunken bar room brawlers, though. That night, they were a pair of maulers with strength and power. It wasn't a lesson in boxing, Termy, and deep down you know it.:yep

Too much for Smokin Joe to overcome.

Joe was small even for his day Yank Durham has said that Joes actual weight was exaggerated by promoters and that Joe many times weighed under 200 but his weights would be announced as heavier.

Joe is one of my all time favorites but like Marciano the size the ability of the modern superheavies and power differential compared to what they fought against IMO is too much
