There is 2 stand out youths from Byron club, at 56kg Billy Stewart and at 75kg John Docherty. Both of these guys have great futures ahead of them and I'm pretty sure that John recently beat Hutchinson too.

your right actually he did , but there all top prospects.

im just saying that if it was a huge underage standout from Scotland I don't think gb would make the same decision and put him in straight in as there number 1

If things are apparently so against Scottish boys how did taylor got to the Olympics? The ones doing the biggest whining about it wouldn't have been remotely close to getting there regardless who they were representing .

I actually think it's the GB system that is unfair for Scottish Boxers rather than them getting a fair chance to get to the Olympics. Scotland can send a team to qualifiers they don't need to be sent by GB and the boxer just have to meet the qualifying criteria.

if I can remember correctly taylor had very little competition from inside britian and wasn't in the podium squad until after he qualified

actually Scotland cant send there own team anymore to qualifers now only a gb team gets sent

which in my opinion is only fair if your competing as gb at the Olympics its not fair to be aloud send 3 fighters in each division.

I almost certain that's not correct. You must be selected by gb now to go to a qualifier with only one at each weight for all home nations.

Because this Championships is a qualifier only GB representatives can go. In 2017 Scotland can send their own team.

I am pretty sure McFadden has also beat Ali as well as Bateson, Edwards and Selby. However I am sure Reece has been injured for a while or not long back, probably half the reason he is not in the squad.

Docherty, Hutchison and Lazzerini will all be seniors soon which will definately be a step up for them. Hopefully they all adapt nicely.

I knew that used to be the case, didn't realise it had changed.

I think they have boxed, maybe even a few years ago. I have been told they boxed but can't confirm where.

their is no record of it though and ali only turned senior a couple of months ago so it would be almost impossible for them to have boxed against eachother competitively
