Flanagan would be smashing the 135 version of Crawford and Broner the way some are going on.

    Steady on.

Crazy how some are going on. Baring the uppercut which was one hell of a shot, most of his shots looked like slaps tbh.

Magdaleno was also wide open as well with zero defence.

I agree that mags was wide open but there wasnt just the uppercut that was a good shot. He was landing some crisp clean jabs which was msking mags think twice about coming fwd. Mags forehead was well redened and swollen. Turbo landed some good shots mate hed already wobbled mags before the uppercut.
Although it only went 2 rds that was a sheet hot performance from turbo. If he could operate for 12rds like he did in them 2 then hes seriously going somewhere.

Magdaleno looked quite unsteady footing wise also, I actually thought he looked quite poor (Magdaleno). I'll hold reservations on Flanagan until he fights another very good fighter. Could be that he improves the better fighters he faces.

Think he could well beat Burns and I'm a Burns fan but only because I think Ricky struggles with southpaw fighters.

Will watch his career closely to see how he gets on.

Who do you Brits consistently hold onto hope for that glass chinned scrub Mitchell? Mitchell has shown THREE times now that doesn't have the chin to be world class.

Like you I feel we need to not be too premature in making Turbo Terry out to be elite level just yet. Wish him well though. :thumbsup

ricky is shot mentally not physically, he can thank his biggest fan and ex coach billy nelson for that by letting him fight for 10 rounds with a busted jaw. sure he got the draw and kept his title but at what cost? the rest of his career.

as soon as ricky gets hit now he covers up and doesn't throw back, the ricky that was winning world title fights was willing to trade when hit now he goes into a shell like a turtle.

I agree with everything you say here apart from blaming the trainer for not pulling him out early. In hindsight that probably would have been best considering what's happened to burns since but it's a world title fight and I doubt Ricky would have let billy pull him out. He's lost something since that fight and probably will never get it back.

Not saying he would beat Flanagan but I don't see how you couldn't give him a chance if anywhere near back to his best.

I think its the first time I had seen Flanagan fight, he was very impressive. You are right though, Magdaleno obviously had a problem with his footwear from the beginning, this was a major factor in the fight. A fight with Mitchell would be good to see.
