If Lewis had been up on the scorecards would he not have retired after the V.Klitchko

Lewis was out of gas by round 6. He was very lucky the fight was stopped because he had thrown the entire kitchen sink at Vitali by then and had nothing more left in the tank.

The other way around. Vitali was slapping Lewis with arm punches, while Lewis was landing the meaningful shots.

conveniently for thekliturds that was the same round lewis destoryed vitali ay?

like the Sunderland fan who swears blind they would have won the Premisership if Sunderland hadnt been relegated.

but no, lewuis is not a gassing fatboy, he was a fully conditioned athlete ready for 12 rounds ashe had always proved.

Then why do the Lenni nut huggers claim he was at his worst and did not prepare fully for this fight with vitali if he was always a conditioned 12 round athlete?

Why do the Lenni nut huggers claim he got floored like an over protected girl his entire life by one big shot to the face by the likes of Rahman and Mccall because he didn't prepare properly?

cos worst ever lewis can do 12 rounds. hes a pro he woulnt get in the ring without putting in the training.
he was worst ever because his age, not his approach. but you knew that already.

he did prepare, but his concentration let him down. lewis is superficially prone to moments of lack of concentration, or perhaps he just thinks a bit too deep sometimes.

that's speculation. In the history of heavyweight title fights, can you name me one fighter who quite over exhaustion?

Secondly, he knew he had Vitali hurt and was focusing on hitting him in the eye, what makes you think he would have abandoned that strategy in future rounds considering he won the 6th round on all 3 cards?

Actually what Lennox Lewis did is something no other champion has had the cojones to do. He put his title on the line on a few days notice against his #1 contender when barely 80 % in shape.
Lennox was trained for a warm up against a disinterested Kirk Johnson who we all knew wasn't in shape either. There were rumours that Kirk was offered $$$ to drop out & a promise of a Klitschko fight. Though from what I knew of Kirk I don't think he'd be party to that
Anyway Lennox had a slow start& lost a couple of rounds but he was warming up & that fantastic uppercut he caught Vitali with nearly decapitated him. Vitali wouldn't have lasted 2 more rounds even if he hadn't been cut
Lennox beat every man he faced in the pro riing & he had nothing else left to prove. He retired at the exact right time there was no one else to beat
Lennox is a wealthy man with a great family he has all he needs but one thing that's overdue ? To hear HRH Elizabeth say those immortal words " Arise Sir Lennox ""

Vitali wasn't the one getting rocked around the ring round to round that was Lewis! I guess I will post round by round of what actuall transpired to put this to rest on another thread.

Those Kit fans really do have to realize a tko on cuts is a legitimate win. Perhaps they should read the rule book.

When you are exhausted, it means your punches loose sting. That cut is what saved him. Vitali was still willing to fight on regardless of the cut. He may have won the 6th round because he out desperation punched himself out by throwing the entire kitchen sink which on any other day would have backfired terribly.

Ya, that upper cut never had any sting. Neither did the punch in the last 20 seconds which had Vitali hanging on for dear life. Maybe you should actually watch the fight before commenting on it. As for the cut the stoppage was clearly within the rules of boxing. You want to comment on boxing you might want to learn the rules of the sport.

I think you need to get lennis **** out of your mouth and ass for once, I can list countless matches where lenni hung on opponents as part of a survival tactic but ofcourse nut hungers like you will call it a great survival tactic in boxing when the great lenni does it but call it a sign that an opponent was there for the taking when an opponent of lenni does it.

Ok so leni landed that uppercut and right hand, so what? Vitali was still standing wasn't he. I have seen that fight and where you claim lenni was trying to create space to finish the job, to the contrary he was badly out of gas, he couldn't push vital and his punches had no more sting.

You might want to watch this fight again, perhaps get an education and stop calling fighters names. I've been on these sites for about 15 years and not once have l disrespected a fight enough not to get his name right. Maybe you should go back to watching UFC because it's obvious to all that you ksab.

And since you know $hit about the sport it was tko 6.

vitali was the one who went on offense after that uppercut. I still would give Lewis only one round in that entire fight, and that was even a toss up .
