Pacquiao's tendency to jump in, that really cost him the last time with Marquez.

That's something that i thought was a glaring fault. I've also thought though was that something about his style that didn't leave him open to other things.

i agree with what your saying there kind of. For me they were great fighters because thet weren't bangers, master boxers like you say. The problem with fellas who can bang is that they're more likely to let themselves get involved in shootouts.
What I'm saying is if they considered themselves punchers they might of been different fighters to their own own detriment.

Roy Jones managed to get drilled by straight lefts from Del Valle and Tarver. He's lucky that Lou was the guy throwing the first one.

Bennie Briscoe had one glaring flaw he never overcame, not being able to throw a punch when slipping. Often Bad Bennie was in a great place for landing a finisher after slipping inside but could never learn to pull the trigger.

Bowe's and Duran (post Montreal) lack of training habits. It's hard to imagine where these two fighters would be rated today had they had the training discipline of Mayweather.

I'm talking about fighting flaws. Like, technical flaws.

Thomas Hearns carrying his left hand low and getting tag with lead rights, or the he keep his left hand low and pivoted to his left after throwing left hooks to the body against Iran Barkley. That is what lead to him getting hit by the home run right hand.

Yeah, that low left was a Kronk gym problem (also cost McCrory).

You could argue that Mayweather was a pound for pound businessman specializing in risk management

Rocky Marciano being very unbalanced and some times punching off of one foot.
