Probably opening myself up for some abuse here but... Why is their so much hatred for Paul Smith on here?
wondered the same. perhaps it is because he has put himself in the public eye with commentary a lot of it appears to be because he has had three attempts at world title and whether he was/is deserving. i can't see how that is a criticism, if he can put himself in a position to challenge, good luck to him i like the bloke, think he talks a lot of sense. can be outspoken and i dont always agree but i would prefer more active fighters openly sharing their views rather than the generic statements and pr spin we get from others
simple cos he aint good enough to take a world title or people dont think he deserved his shots at them. Its nonesense, I quite like him, he gave a lot to the sport put a helluva lot in but was short on having the talent to really break thro the better fighters. Guy got big heart, best of luck to his other brothers careers

An example. A fan asked him on twitter if he wished he reached world level sooner in his career, it was a genuine question. His response was to get personal and go on an attack asking what level he has reached etc etc

Because he can't even make the weight above his proper weight, which shouldnt be his proper weight it should be the one below lol. There is no way on earth Smith and Ward should of been in the same sentence, let alone ring and he couldn't even be bothered to make the light Heavyweight limit, when in essence he is a fat Middleweight who is 5ft 9 at best.
