Does PPV fighters,tv channels etc need financial support?By your criteria, you are not supporting the sport because you complain GGG Lemieux PPV.

You are one of the worst posters here, you don't know anything about the sweet science etc..

I bet you are Bieber fanboy, and started follow boxing when Floyd and Justin went together.or sorry, you don't follow boxing.only Mayweather.

And btw,Floyd is last boxer who needs financial support trough PPV.

If you really want support boxing, spend your money to local gyms, equipment etc..

Go to small shows, try to bring your friends.

That's supporting the sport.not that you give your money to multi millioners, who don't give a **** about the sport.only their bank accounts.

But afterall you are Justin&Floyd Joy Boy.so we shouldn't expect much from you

Mayweather is proven star and celebrity.

And Golovkin is not,but you know.everybody have to start somewhere, even Floyd..

I don't like that this fight is on PPV.but why you complain so hard?

This used to be forum for boxing discussion.now it's more about boxers PPV rate, bank accounts, new cars, girlfriends etc..

This is more like girls gossip forum now..

    I don't care PPV numbers,boxers bank account..

I only want to see great man vs man flights until other can't take it anymore

If people are willing to pay for it then why not? It's a unification fight and clearly Golovkin as a brand has grown to the point that HBO feel it's time to test the waters and see if all the hype they have been feeding into GGG has paid off.

Sure the actual match up isn't exactly amazing, Lemieux won his title in a vacant title shot against a guy who wasn't remarkable and is being fed to GGG in his first title defence. I personally wouldn't think a fight like this is PPV worthy but it's not about what people think it's about what people are willing to pay for.

HBO wouldn't have gotten Lemieux into the ring with a smaller purse ... and they need to make it PPV to pay him the demanded purse.

You really paid $64,95 or $74,95 for a boring farewell fight with an opponent who got the shot cuz he knows the ex-fiancé of Mayweather?

I would rather buy Golovkin vs Lemieux ... but i can't cuz here in germany it's shown for free.

I guess HBO is hoping for at least 200.000 buys.
That would be more than Klitschko vs Williams or Holyfield vs Ruiz ... but i think it's possible.

PBC in my opinion is really where its at right now. Better fights and matchups and on network television. At this point the only PPV I will buy is if Mayweather goes for 50 but only against a Brook, Thurman, or for comedy purposes Amir Khan![/quote]

Or HBO has basically entered desperation mode, Pac fever is over and their two best fighters Crawford, Golovkin, aren't top attractions. Canelo is their only hope but we already know what his limitations are

This is a stupid reason to buy PPV. Just because someone is a PPV star doesn't mean their fights should be PPV. I would think you would buy PPV to see an exciting fight. If not, why don't you have Mayweather baking cookies on PPV? Anyway, I think another reason why people want to spend the money on this fight is because they want to show the boxing community the types of fights that they want to see. A lot of people still have a bad taste in their mouth from May-Pac. They want to see a Rocky-style war.

TO OP. GGG is popular no matter if u like it or not.
Feel free to bump this thread when it does an acceptable number of buys, like it clearly is on track for.

There could be even more ppv fights but there not

Main reason its ppv because there fightin each other when the time is right .

Bradley vs rios isnt on ppv cuz there not trending up like ggg lemuiex

Nowone should be too bothered its ppv cuz if any type of fighters deserve the payday its guys who are willing to go toe to toe like these guys

Golovkin-Lemeiux is just not a PPV event, that's all I'm saying. When referencing Mayweather I feel the majority of his fights have been PPV worthy especially when considering his undefeated, P4P, and celebrity status. Also the opponents he has faced have mostly been worthy. Lemeiux hasn't really proven anything and nor has Golovkin. This should just be a regular HBO night.

No it's not, it's a good fight but it's not huge. Ward-Golovkin on the other hand would be huge, that fight would actually mean something!
